I’ll preempt max and say ‘ave it…i hate this work thing, the only person I think I might know is batman.
Last night nom I had a dream about this game, which is normal I think when you spend six hours doing something before bed. My eream got disturbing though as I ended up throwing a mine under a tank that was broken down but was being pushed by my last manager, who I liked, and the end of the dream was spent explaining my actions to her limbless torso….how many games give you that?

Can remember playing bf42 the first time (had played the beta) started at 6pm boxing day, next thing the birds are twittering and the sun is rising…5am…..epic
seeing as i am skint, i am looking around for something to stick on the bay 😆

This is the big question where you’re involved and it’s difficult to answer. It is good enough to have wrapped me up so much that I had a dream as vivid as I described, and honestly it woke me up; it was that distressing/good. What that came from was me getting into the feel of the game, and I don’t think any of us think this is something you’ll do easily (i haven’t asked, but even sprog knows it).
The style is not BC2 (i share you’re views on this), but it’s far from bf42 and not BF2 either (which I thought you hated btw). The question you answered in the other thread is one I’d like to answer on a point by point basis, and I will one once have a free moment, but for the sake of saying something here; bf3 feels much more like a bf game than bc2 ever got close to.
None of that shit as I dont think you can combine, I tried to to test but animation on player (which are awesome I might add) stopped it.. only gheyness I did see was a jumpy shooty ghey.. but only once and it wasnt 6ft in air
oh man…..this is horrible waiting for this pc to arrive.
i keep checking the parcel tracking and would gladly drive to birmingham to pick it up from the depot……obsessively watching high def videos on youtube of the gameplay
you know you have the bug when it gets like that…..found a great vid last night about 20 mins long of caspian border…..it was going off…..but more importantly it didnt appear to be spawn die spawn die…..the guy was taking cover…..poppin his head out take a few out.
in essence there looked like a bit of space to breath if you wanna hang back and pick people off……i expect a very steep learning curve for me having not played a keyboard and mouse for 7 years……so you might not want me in any important role in your squad at first…..have me runnin for ammo or something…..or a message runner…..go make a brew sort of stuff.
im hoping to get back up in the sky though…..as long as theres not too many jet campers which from the vids i have seen seems to be the case.
right im gonna shut up now…..im gonna go knock one out in anticipation !!
n0m watch this space…….i will know with an hour of bashing it if its gonna be a game i can perservere with……or if its a game thats destined to be one of the most expensive foolish mistakes i have ever made !!
as long as i can hang back…..and not get shot for a period of time longer than say 2-3 minutes…..i reckon i will be happy to perservere !
Interesting thing they did with the jets. you can spawn in them whih means no one really hangs around waiting for them to spawn and you get a fair chance of getting in one. Obviously if the pilots are good then they won’t respawn, but thats ok. I’ve found the jets pretty impossible but I was always shit at them!
Love your enthusiasm sprog and can’t to have you in the team again. Are you getting a microphone a headset with your new setup or at least will you be on ts to hear our fantastic directions to each other, and general swearing?
Be prepared for a steep learning curve though, the way you aim in games has changed quite a.bit from what you’ve been used to in the past, not to mention how rusty you’ll be. I’ve had various periods out of the first person shooter scene and everytime I try and get back into it, it takes a lot of patience….expect to die a lot and have a rubbish k/d ratio. The best hing to do is be on ts and join a squad with one of us. Even if we’re playing shit together it does make a difference to feel like you’re trying 🙂
