What the hell.. just had a look to see what it is (properly) so basically someones made a popular website out of the annoying “Michael is .. wanking of to some delicious ladies doin each other” bit of facebook, its the shittiest thing on facebook, who gives a fuck what you are doing, call someone and ask.. deary me, why do I keep missing these money making opertunities FFS! 🙁

think of it as a giant forum where you can talk to just about anyone.
No one uses it to say what they are doing (or at least no one I follow) but use it to highlight news / info / gadgets / gossip etcIt like a giant xdc forum and is proving to be very useful (how many of our posts simply point to something of interest / funny stuff with one line of comment!!)
As you expect it is only as good as the people you follow. Follow stupid people and you get stupid stuff back. follow people who are knowledgeable in their fields and you get an update of the latest happenings in those fields which would otherwise take you ages to find.
with Tweetdeck you can group all your contacts by aquaintance. eg all education related stuff goes in one panel, friends go in another panel so you dont just have one long stream to wade through.
you can also subscribe to news feeds etc so it becomes a giant rss reader.
oh and you can be useless and tell people what you are eating but that is a good way to lose all your followers.
