Ok, this was an odd film. Once you tell yourself it’s a film, not real, it’s a film, not real, it’s a film, not reals and stop expecting it to be in any way realistic (ffs the top computer lady in the police had to have ROFL explained to her) it turns into a good thriller, and it was a bit scary in places, thank God Vic is such a big manly man type so i can squeeze his hand so hard and yet he doesnt even blink – what a man – though he does roll his eyes a bot and complaining about the noisy feckers behind us who don’t know how to whisper or fucking well watch a film without shouting their heads off.

Where was i? Oh yeah, it was good and scary, I drank loads of fizzy pop with my dinner beforehand but was too scared to go the loo in case there was a killer in the next cubicle. Or someone else’s wee on the toilet seat, I don’t hover very well y’see. Or a pube, that’s worse for sure. Anyway yeah, it was good and gory and fecking scary as all shit, but it was like the director said ffs let’s finish this now, i’m off to the pub, cos they turned it into a cartoon type ending where they all made it up as they went along and turned it all shite.

    Anyway, i mostly liked it.
Also I’ve been drinking red wine. only 2 rather big glasses

Pretty much agree with tess’ incoherent and drunken ramblings above. Great premise for a film and quite well executed but for a few things:
One is the idea that the FBI’s cyber-crime unit can find an internet wrongdoer, tap a few buttons on their keyboard and then look at each other saying “That’s another bad guy nailed” in a macho fashion and solver the woes of the interweb. With the film starting like that I was expecting a rather poor ‘isn’t the FBI fucking marvellous’ dick waving contest for the next hour and a half. I was pleasantly surprised when it became a lot more sensible and rather gripping.
The end is a total letdown too. After nearly a whole well thought out film they seem to have given the responsibility of writing the final scenes to a monkey with a crayon. That said, at least there was closure rather than the debacle that was the “end” of ‘Jumper’.

    Overall I give Untraceable:
