That was one of the most fun PS2 sessions I’ve ever had tonight, thanks guys.
I’ve had better sessions in terms of K/D but there was hardly a moment tonight when we weren’t up against a population disadvantage or, if it was even, found ourselves against more localised underpop. Despite this we always gave as good as we got, and usually more, especially since with every attack or defence it was almost us exclusively who we being proactive about the objectives, and this is what I like to see more than any other random internet number. The teamwork was phenomenal as well, for example, did you know that after we capped mani lake satellite there were 25-48 NC on the hex with 75% pop! We got in behind that lot and capped the base with 4 guys. We need the XDC tag active on the server for nights like tonight.
I have a ton of footage from the session so I’ll post some highlights once I have it compiled and uploaded over the next few days (first one in progress). It’ll be impossible to portray an accurate feel of how the session was though because for me what made this session different was the fact we’d pulled through early failures with our heads still held high. Both TR and NC had to invest a lot of time and manpower shifting us at any base, and sometimes that’s a victory in itself (especially during an alert). We fought off zergs, we fought max crashes, we nailed libs from the ground, and we even abused Paddy behind his back, the night had it all! Great banter, great teamwork (surpassing anything I’ve ever seen from XDC in BF btw), and a fantastic “try-hard” attitude 🙂
Yeah, it was a blast last night, especially that enclosed fight, can’t remember the base, where they had around 30-40 people in the one building and we just kept popping in, taking a few out and then getting out to reload.
Also, anti vehicle mine unlocks made my night.
Really glad I persevered with planetside and got past my initial distaste for it. I still don’t totally understand all the capping rules, icons, high level tactics, but I know enough to find a good fight and be a pain in the ass to the opposing factions.

Was a good session though, I uploaded the last base we captured as it was one of the highlights, especially the aircraft kill at the end!

Anyway here’s the clusterfuck fight on Easimir you were talking about. There really were a shit load of them in that wee room, and I still don’t know why they didn’t charge us!

Oh and interesting seeing that fight from your perspective Gary, because I’ve just literally watched it again from mine, and finished compiling a video of it (I’ll upload it later). Some cracking sniping shots in there and of course a great shot on that mossie at the end 🙂
