Starting date is on June 2nd, but realistically we’d need our names in the hat this week. That would give us two or three weeks to organise ourselves and maybe throw in a few friendlies. So first question is who is still interested? Next it seems thursday night’s the best night for us getting together for a game, so how about this as an idea to start us off….
Set one of our servers up with match config (might be useful anyway to see how this is done – I’ll try it over the weekend), then get as many rats and xdc onto it as we can (doubt we can manage 7 v 7, but somewhere close to that would be good anyway), and play off against each other as if it was a normal friendly. If we try and go into it with some sort of gameplan (independant of each other) and it’ll give us an idea afterwards just exactly how little we actually know. We can laugh about it, put our heads together afterwards, work out what we’re doing right or wrong, then most likely make some daft adjustments, and all die in spectacular fashion come the start of the league with our joint effort 😀
Hope that makes sense, writing this quickly while waiting for a taxi, but anyway the most important thing right now is who is still interested in the team?
The League Admin contacted me again this evening asking if we were going to join. I told him we’d know after Thursday, but the good thing is that this means there are still places available 🙂
Well anyone who is interested, be on steam tomorrow from about 7-30 (trying to get a game underway at 8, and because some people have commitments it needs to start on time). Need to gauge the interest first of all, but even if there are just a few of us we may be able to have a friendly against Crazy clan. I know we’ll be completely disorganised and should expect to lose if we’re playing them, but it’s a starting point, and afterwards we can start working on how/if we progress.
