I hope you did what I’d do under those circumstances and remain relaxed and calm throughout the whole birth, helping your partner throught the ardous task in hand and maybe shed a little tear at the miracle of seeing your first child.

But then, when you tried to get the telly to work, so that you could both watch Top Gear together, and it just kept showing static where there was BBC 2 only minutes earlier, started shouting:

“You mother-f*%king piece of s&*t! You’ve got one f£$king job to do, and that’s to show me Top f£$king Gear, and you can’t even f&*king do that! You worthless piece of s&*t!
