ParticipantAch and there was me thinking it could be done with a laptop and a piece of software lol…
Might give it a go and fire up some easy listening tunes, I’m really not into techno/house/dub music so as much as I appreciate the amount of work you put in and the time it takes you to make the mixes, there just not my cuppa tea lol…
I used to play around with some mixing software and found it getting very addictive.

Participanti’m hooked on it…..im old enough to know better…..but i hear a track and it takes me back to standing in a field when i was 21 and all the while i can do it…..i probably will be !!
i imagine its the same as me dad listening to buddy holly still 😕
we gonna get a DnB contribution mr line ?? (hows things ??)
i have seen and trialled software……but it makes my stomach turn when i realise there’s a synch button ?? which seems to be akin to using aimbots in BF3…..why bother ??

Decks and a mixer means you can do that with almost any song at any point in the track. When i was mixing alot about 10 years ago the feeling you get when you drop one perfectly is just ungodly! Shivers down the spine stuff.
God i miss those days. Half way through a song mix a little of the new one in as if to tease people with whats coming next, more teasing and then the final drop it like FUCK YEAH HERE IT IS!!!January 26, 2012 at 3:17 pm #78032AnobizII

Participantits very much something you will be able to do from the start……or you could spend ten years trying to beatmatch and might never master it……..i was fortunate that the very first time i jumped on a set of 1210’s i kind of had the beats rolling at the same pitch.
they were all on the wrong side and stuff so it still sounded like a horse falling down a flight of stairs…….but if you can count to 8…..you can overcome that problem.
i should add i can only beatmatch……it frustrates the shit out of me that i can’t scratch mix !! and i have a hip hop dj friend who is awesome at scratching……but he would’nt be able to beatmatch like i can…….but he does have the added bonus of a synch button he can press which delivers pretty much the same result as what i do ( i like to think there is a difference though)
what is more frustrating is waiting for pete tong…..kevin saunderson and the rest to move aside and make way for some new blood on the scene……it aint happened yet and wont be happening anytime too soon………..it also frustrates me that i never moved into production 20 years ago, cos i simply get too frustrated using pc’s !! i don’t want to be a rocket scientist…..i want to play loud music to a boshed up crowd !! play em the speaking clock on pills and they would scream for more !!!
production is something i am currently attempting to pursue……theres some real duff dj’s out there getting regular work cos they keep knockin out musical pop turds every couple of weeks…….*cough……guetta…..ahem…..cough*
thats just plain wrong………..but the masses love it……….its hard to swallow sometimes !!!
