Actually after much investigation and thread crawling I’ve decided to go for the 780ti basically because at the res I run at it’s a fair margin better than the 970, it’s also fully dx12 compat according to the NVidia guy I spoke to. Plus it’s cheaper and I can overclock it a lot as well.
Right created an account for this because it looks like fun, what’s the craic with it? Also are you guys only playing it on the Gaystation or is it multi platform as in us PC guys can play with the scrubs on the playstation?
Been playing it since I got in CBT, it’s actually fairly good my only complaint is that its a bit slow paced for my liking.
I returned but have lost interest again and fairly quickly as well so I think I’ve probably got to my break point with EVE now. Oh well 8 years well spent. Will remember it fondly.
no worries , i5 will be fine I will probably not need the care as a 960 is only 150 but motherboard etc will be appreciated.
Oh well I have bitten the bullet and have ordered it, any tips when I get to play it tonight (hopefully tm)

Anyway, what’s the combat like so far Beer, and how to you rate the potential for clan based pvp? In particular is there space which can be conquered, or can you establish your own bases about the place? Also can you land on planets like in the original series (at least you could in Elite Final Frontier), and do they have jump drives like the original where you plot you destination with the distance you can jump being controlled by the type of jump drive you have and the amount of fuel you carry, or are the systems gated like in Eve or Freelancer? Also do you travel around solar systems freely and is there much to explore in a system? Oh and how big do the systems feel?
