It was a while before I realised the sentry-guns have only a narrow arc of cover. I was always putting them down facing in random (ie wrong) directions.
It’s nice how the bullets from them don’t hurt your own team. How kind of EA!

Man, I’m with you there. I’ve been on that mission since last Saturday. I can detpack 1 and rocket 2, but there’s always someone out-circling me. And I’ve done some pretty big circles, lol.
Spent about 6 hours yester playing a convoy ambush mission “Desert Ambush”. Most of the time we were jsut lying low in the rocks, more-or-less avoiding L113B patrols. I only saw the convoy 3 times and they only ever came near being ‘ambushed’ once. But what a laugh. And I got to show off my XDC vehicle badges. They’re good on the Sopwith Camels too.
This game has forced me to get savvy with video card specs… Messy, I think you might be suffering from a lack of Vertex Shader pipes. The 9600XT apparently has just 2 (you’re on AGP?). The other uncool thing in it is the 128bit memory bandwidth. My 6600GT has 3 vertex pipes, 128bit b/width and half your RAM, and gives a fair framerate except on capture the island 50+ players. My research showed that a good card to get is a 2nd hand 6800GT. Definitely need 256bit bandwidth, definitely DDR3. It’s got 6 vertex pipes. Even my new one has ‘only’ got 8. A 6800 Ultra would ultra-rock, but then you’re unlikely to find one for a bargain. Some 6800’s come with 512MB DDR3, too. eBay ftw.
Also, you’ll be suffering from the foreign try-before-you-buy version being 1.01 or 1.02. V1.04 apparently made a good bit of difference. V1.05 is coming out any moment for all versions, and promises more optimisations and more video options.

Saw it and was a little underwhelmed. The big gunfight was too much. Until then it was a kind of comedy thriller but that just cut the wires holding my carefully suspended disbelief.
When it comes out on DVD, I’ll give it another go, because I know I should like it. Maybe I watched it wrong?
Oh well.
I’m getting the horn just reading about your imaginary love-lives. It’s obstructing the screen: I have to peer around it.

There’s no function in any software I know of that displays numbers in that superscript format. I might be able to create a button in Word, perhaps, to convert ^ numbers into superscripts, but that could be more work for me than it would be for you to do it manually in the first place.
To make any formula work in Excel, you have to start the cell with an equals sign ‘=’.
