i have come across this idea before but I have to say that I am not convinced. As a means of showing how daft the idea that humans and humans alone have some counterpart that is part of them but not part of them it works but as a direct metaphor for the christian concept of a soul it does not work very well at all and therefore limits the degree to which comparisons can be made.

it has to be said that what multiplay are offering on the web space front is very limited: only 400 mb web space / only 1 mysql server / no ssl access
however, scanning the rackage site there appears to be no hosting services at all!

not bad – bit slow in places and as already pointed out – a bit predictable.

just to give you an idea of developments — phpbb3 is very new and a lot of the cool mods (portal systems , shout boxes, etc are still in early development so i will hang fire for a while before installing them.
the front page is still hosted on my servers and i think they will stay there for the moment – the webspace we get with the dedicated server is only 400 mb and a single database.
now it is possible to run multiple bits of software (forums / cms / scripts etc) from a single database it is a faff to look after.
hang fire for a while and i will add the cool gadgets as they appear.
