Front page gone on the website? I was looking for the server IP’s and it’s pain in the ass trawling through 100 similarly named threads on the forums. Which brings me to another point, where has the sticky option gone when posting, so we can sticky the IPs somewhere?
Just noticed the sticky option is available in the private forums but not here, so does that mean we’d have to set up a usergroup for the public forums in order to allow xdc members to sticky threads?
i will activate the front page when i get a chance –
though i was toying with the idea of just using the forums like the rats do
i will pull all the server info together into a sticky later
Although the most action goes on here in the forums I’d still prefer we had a website to go along with it all. I’m prepared to help with it’s setup, and I have a few ideas now it’s off your server and we can risk a few things.
Initially I’ll need some help though.
yeh our frontends a mod of the forum made by a 3rd party, saves faffing about as it uses the forum skins and gets all the data it needs from there. the rest is basically iframes for the server monitors and easy enough to add 🙂

i’m a lazy fukker when it comes to sorting the front end out as its enough keeping that and the servers running..
i threw it up when our front page was so far out of date it was a joke, and we have only been waiting a year for someone to make a new one. 🙄the previous front end was a content management system which was piss easy to use. it was up for a year and i think one person got around to adding 1 bit of content.. i dont mind putting it back if people will use it
other wise like gonzo said it looks daftly out of date all the time

yup, i updated the front page a few times as and when new peeps joined but unless we have new stuff to post every week then its gonna get real old real fast………a digital clock like on that link would be nice as would a chat app of sorts (similar to what the DR chaps had a while back) providing it’s not too awkward to implement or causes any serious issues.
we still have a shoutbox, but you have to make a few posts to be able to see it as the default usergroups not allowed to see it.

I know that feeling. I had our website in the stone ages for years before Magicker came along 🙂 Think I did ok for no training though! Well maybe just ok 😉
