Right chaps and chapesses..
As you may have noticed I have now installed a Content Management system for the front page of the website
This will allow any of us who wants to upload news and stories and change any of the existing pages if they wish to
the system I have used is called
CMS Made Simple details here http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/main/home
it is a doddle to use and make changes
to make changes to the pages simply visit

Oh…just saw this thread. I’ll get our mission statement up on our front page sometime tomorrow..if it’s not already done before I get to it. 😀
Right – for the moment I have reinstated the front page till something better come along.

i have set this thread as an announcement so you can see how to edit the front page – it is really really easy!!
Andy expect a lot of questions about how to do stuff, as I want to make changes, but thanks for putting it back there for the time being 🙂
One thing I should know before taking it any further though, if we include php modules as we did a year ago, are they a potential security risk to our host, or just the site? And either way, how should we go about keeping backups?
the system that we are using is called cms made simple.. you can find it here
if you look at the modules page you can see that there are a lot of modules already available to plug into the system
check to make sure that what ever you want to do it not alread offered through a module
if there is any particular php gadget yo have in mind just let me know and will look at the best way to add it to the site
