normally a camera can only record a limited amount of information which results in the common side effect of blown out hight lights or shadows that are 2 deep. the camera can only expose a certain range
so some clever git came up with the idea of HDR
HDR images are simply multiple LDR images (ie a photograph) taken at different exposures (i normally only take 3 exposures at +- 2 stops from normal exposure but some poeple swear by 7) you then use either photoshop or photomatrix or similar to create your HDR file (32 bits of info).
the method you then use to step down the image (back to 8 bits) is the bit where you combine the massive range you now have and decide what can be shoe-horned into the 8 bits you have to play with
the results can be amazing – however some people really realy dont like these effects and hence the complaining

if you can get intel core 2s at this sort of price you would be bonkers to go for anything else
core 2 duo is the daddy at the moment and looks set to dominate things in the next 6 months at least till amd get their act together again

was abit unsure about this – nice idea – well executed but fuck knows what it was all about – god only knows what happened at the end
i am getting pissed off with the trend in horror movies at the moment for leaving ambiguous ending. really really irritating
