ParticipantBMW = Blokes with Minute Willies.
Hence the need for a replacement in the shape of a 3 series ๐

ParticipantWell this is doing the rounds everywhere at the moment but I am extremely sceptical about it’s validity. If this transpires to be true then the Battlefield Franchise will die on it ass.

ParticipantI jumped on ealier this evening and we had a blast some very close games and some exceedingly crap squad Leader work by yours truely but it was fun.
Teams were reasonably balanced and we had an XDC team on either side. Whilst I agree it can become a little tedious getting your backside handed back to you every 10 seconds from a good squad not just Max and Wipers you just adapt your tactic and spawn somewhere else less intense.
If your anything like me Paddy and haven’t played the game for at least 3 or 4 months until the last couple of weeks your going to be shit until you start playing regularly again.
Now just admit your shit, put your handbag away and suck it up. It’s character building don’t you know ๐

ParticipantAlso be advised that Microsoft have been banning peoples Xbox live accounts for modifying the hard drive firmware to play ‘Backed Up’ games. Also If your machine is still in Warranty then you’ll invalidate it by flashing the firmware.
Although this guide should explain everything if you still want to flash the firmware ๐

ParticipantI have to sadly agree with Insane here ๐ For the time being I would opt for 32bit XP SP2. I have vista running on a laptop with not problems at all however it is not compatible with all games and some just point blank refuse to run even some of the newer ones. I use the laptop for Apps etc and although I do have few games installed that is not the primary use of the laptop I have an XP PC for that and most games are written with XP in mind.
With regards to 64bit Processor / OS debate this is fine if all your applications are written to utilise the 64 bit processor sadly whilst some are written specifically to make use of the processor the majority are written for XP 32bit which is by far the uniform platform on most peoples machines. Same for Games there are very few that make use of 64 bit processors.
You could also and the dual/quad core processors into this too as a general rule as most software will only utilise a single core although you can tweak some apps to utilise multiple cores is you want to. Multi Core CPU’s only really come into their own when you are multitasking with several apps running simultaneously and utilising the additional available cores. Some newer titles coming down the line will make better use of Vista and Multi Core CPU’s and GPU’s- Crysis springs to mind but there are others too.
However unless you hardware is pretty much bang up to date then your not going to see the benefit.
Stick with XP until SP1 for Vista is out (end of this year I think?)

ParticipantAlthough I agree it was a bit slow I think this is to just to open things up especially with the introduction on the new Mexican Lady. If you remember season 1 did take a couple of episodes to introduce the characters and there background before the plot started to really unfold. I think this season will be the same a few more suprises instore before we really start getting to grips with the plot. I enjoyed it looking forward to seeing how this delevelops.
