It’s easy mate as these are addon’s for BF2 just add the 3 new maps to the current rotation, no need for a server restart, add maps job done

Congrats mate- It is truly and amazing feeling I remember seeing my first one’s (he’s nearly 8 now) heatbeat on the monitor around the same time. Even after seeing the latest editions piccies at 10 weeks it still get’s you everytime. It is truly one of the best thing that will ever happen to you.

I think people mayl want to play Armoured Fury 😉

In the last patch my EA BF2 account was wiped, or to be definate it somehow lost it’s password and email association. But my copy of Euro forces was assigned to this lost account. My new account does not have access to Euro Rape because to the account system EA provide they assign booster pcks to account names and not IP’s. I contact EA who kindly tell me this morning

OK Von, there are a couple of things you can do here…. there is a way to retrieve you original data email/password. This information is stored in My DocumentsBattlefield 2Profiles001Profile.con, open the Profile.con file with notepad or something similar and it should list you account name with email address and password you created your original account with.

If this doesn’t work to get your ‘New’ account to be able to work with Euro Forces you need to do the following.

Launch Your EA Downloader

on the bottom left there are all the games/vids available for viewing or download. Locate Euro Forces and it should display a Euro Forces Image.

On the right hand side of the image the should be an option to edit Gamespy Nickname- This is your EA.com account that you registered either the game of EA Downloader with.

Enter you EA.Com account name and password and then I think it’s under the Billing Options Tab you will see the name of the account currently assigned to Euro Forces (Probably Your Old Account) Change it to your new account name making sure you type it exactly the same as you new account and bingo- That account will be able to play Euro Forces.

The EA Downloader basically allows the downloaded content to be played by certain accounts, so by changing the allowed account when you login to BFHQ (Gamespy) that account is then flagged to be allowed to play the content.

It may seem selfish to you guys that some people don’t play it your way all the time, that sometimes some people will go off and do their own thing on a map, but stop and ask yourselves, are you not being selfish by insisting we have the same games every night, not allowing people to enjoy themselves in whatever way they see fit? Hell it’s not as if we’ve ever locked the server down on our own back and enforced people to have fun, it’s just that the occasional times some people go off and have a jeep race there is a general feel on TS that we are ruining the game for everyone else. Well guess what, serious gaming every night has ruined the game for some people, we have memebres who don’t play BF2 anymore because it’s the same every night.

Whilst I agree that the bannning of 1stBW was a little out of left field it at least got some debate going and has highlighted some issues which have been brewing for some time.

In my memory there has only ever been a handful of occasions that a jeep race has been held during a game and they have been fun for those involved. Now if this was happening on a nightly or even a weekly basis and people were generally ignoring the game then I could see your point, but they don’t, they are a rare occurence that happens once every so often, and when they do you can almost hear the tuts from some XDC members. Feck it, 99% of the games are as you describe, great teamwork, sensible play, but look at the server rotation, Karkand 32, Sharqi 64, oman 16, mashtur 64, God damn, I actually changed the map to Zatar 64 last week because I HAD NEVER PLAYED IT BEFORE. The maps are all based around what some people want, infantry infantry infantry, I enjoy flying occasionaly, but because people don’t like to be bombed all the time by messy and others then I rarely get to fly on our server, not to mention that it’s well nigh impossible to get in a plane when 1stBW are on.

I am sick and tired of BF2 on the XDC server, it is as far removed from XDC as a server that allows team killing, base raping, stat padding, etc. (IMHO), and just because those who have practically disappeared/stopped playing BF2 because of this don’t post about it doesnt’ means that it’s not an issue.

Face it, the server is run as it is for those who want to play that way, I have no beef with that, but why the resistance to a little change? Why the dissaproval of those having a bit of fun. Oh wait, no I know, it’s not YOUR idea of fun therefore it can’t be fun.

Actually Paddy I agree with a lot of what you have said here. What happened to the Euro Forces Nights? think they were in the rotation twice then the patch came out and back to the same old rotation again. 😥
