After playing tonight with 1stBW and listening to the wise words of Queeks, I have to say I’m a little bored of their presence every night on the server. Whilst there are divisions in opinion over them as people, I am getting a little bored of them taking up a load of the slots on our server every single night. Now they may be decent players and generally respect the rules I personally think that some of them have started to take liberties with us becasue they think we are m8’s and that they have a say on the server.
Tonight for example someone teamkilled a 1stBW member for the chopper on Shraqi and he immediatley said “xxxxx teamkilled me for the chopper, can you kick him please” and after someone in XDC confirmed it on ts, I did. He then asked me to kick him again when he rejoined even though the guy had done nothing wrong since rejoining. Personally if I kick someone and they rejoin I think they’ve got the message and behave, 9 times out of 10, fine afterwards, if they misbehave again they get banned and I normally tell them.
This is on top of the abuse messy started coming out with when I was explaining to someone that they had been kicked for being abusive, it didn’t help when he started swearing and being a dick. Had it carried on for one more message I was going to kick him and explain to him why on Teamspeak, he should know the rules by now, swear on TS, not in game (IMHO).
So basically I am suggesting banning them for 1 week and explaining that we just want a little space from them for a week. If they are ok with it then fine, maybe they’ll understand it’s our server, if they bitch and complain about it maybe they will go elsewhere, it’s not as if the server isn’t full every night anyway.
I think this is stepping in to very dangerous ground here, I personally am against banning these guys from our server, its a server for people to play on no matter whowhere there are. This would seriously effect a very good relationship we currently have with these guys.
I have never had an issue with these guys, although at times Divie can revive me in some stupid situations, and I know the GP30 is used at times but its a gun and part of the game, although highly annoying, but banning these guys is totally wrong.
I have noticed that these guys no longer use our TS which is a little bit of a shame. 🙁

I guess i’m not on the server as much as others so perhaps don’t feel its a problem, but they seem nice enough to me………i’ve spoken to cerby a few times and he seems a genuine enough fella, they seem to be on the server a lot but i guess that goes with having a public server……..didn’t we used to crash onto a regular server until we finally got our own for BF42 ?
If you feel there is a problem with their behaviour or attitude then its best to front them with it, perhaps they will tone down what you feel is a problem and hopefully we can carry on as normal….i’d rahter the 1stBW guys than some smacktard from an EA server!

It’s not banning them, it just for a week, like a grounding. When more than two people stop plaing BF2 because of theses guys I think it’s serious. As I am aware I am making no friends with these posts it’s because I see that the server and XDC are moving away from the original idea of XDC, and I see it everyday in posts, on TS and on the server. Playing a seious game is ok but almost every game is identical, deadly serious and normally deathly quite for long periods on TS, there is barely any laughter on TS.
I know I rub people up the wrong way, but don’t get me wrong, the games are good fun still, it’s just the same thing over and over and over again, it’s the same with having a community noght (I hate that phrase) once EVERY SO OFTEN.
Maybe I’m out of line here but I know I’m not the only one having these feelings, I’m just the only one who will put it into writing and face the savage crowds.
I’m just not enjoying this anymore. So cyas ! The name of the game is fun ,and i aint having any with these 1STBW guys
For now, all I want to say is no to what your saying Paddy. We are friendly with these guys and although we should consider whatever you’re complaining about (which incidently is not clear, but I have spoken with queeks and so have a good idea), we should not mass ban them. If there’s an individual, i.e. messey, then name him/them and we’ll take it from there.

If it was not for the regularity of the BW presence on the server we would not get many games started on the server. They add the critical mass which brings enough people onto the server to get a game going, thus enticing others to join until the server is full.
I know Messy could be irritating in TS, but they have moved to another channel, so that is not there anymore. As for their style of play, I do not see much difference between theirs and ours. They squad up and play well.
They have also been playing on the XDC box since BF42, and we have never had any major issues.
I have never been on the receiving end of any crap from them, so a ban is a bit harsh, that said, I think Wolf has guts to speak out, because we do need to clear the air on this

I think I know what the issue is if it relates to the on screen topic ingame last night Queeks had with messy, cerby and the 1st hussy player who’s name begins with S.. Snowcow?
These guys are kool, I aint had a problem with em at all.. yeah messy uses the noobchoob and is a superb pilot.. but McQueen uses the PKM, Fluffy shoots you with an Eryx at close range the pink shirt wearing poof, OldPhart Artystruck me 3 fecking times on spawning last night and max.. well nuff said about him ffs.. All of which gets on my boobies but It wont stop me from playing.. come on its a game, there a great bunch of guys and add to our superior server, I dont see anyone else complain about em cept some of us
I dont think the patch helped as it seems to have reverted the GP30 back to its origina noobyISHl toobyness.. but its part of the game unfortunatly.. people will use it as they will use the new sniper rifle, flashbangs, PKM and Eric…
I’m pretty gutted that the 1stBW have left teamspeak tbh too.. messy can be annoying with that accent *no offence Morgypoos 😉 ).. but it dunt look that good on us if they have left because of what ever..
Does anyone know why they stopped comming on TS bytheway? Matt have you said out to em about joining etc…

I think the fact that iNSANE has posted a serious and thoughtful message (which suddenly goes all fruity at the end) gives us an idea about how much consideration this thread has caused.
Do I want to see 1stBW banned for a week? No.
I get on with the guys and they are a good laugh. Sure I they can be a bit annoying at times, but we all have occassions like that. Sometimes when I’ve got a kill that I scarcely believe was possible, I might let out a victory cry, although I try not too (as it’s damn annoying if you’re having a bad game and some dick is going “I got you again! Hahahaa!”).
If there are issues with 1stBW then we should tell them what they are, rather than suddenly banning them. If I’ve learned anything from SuperNanny it’s that you have to say what the problem is first as a warning before being put on the naughty step. That’s ezacly how it’s done.
So what are the issues that people have with 1stBW, or with them as individuals?
I think Wolf has done the right thing to talk about this…As I said in another post, I have no probs playing against better skilled players (pretty much any other player then), but it’s a question of fun and not-giving-a-toss play which is what XDC is about. At the moment I can forget certain things if I am on our server with Messy et al. :
1. Flying a plane.
2. Getting within farting distance of a medal.
3. Winning against them.
4. Headbutting a noobtoob back in their direction for a kill.
5. Getting in a tank.
6. Having as much fun as usual.And as for them leaving TS, well I think it’s taking the piss to play on the server 24/7 but to run off to another TS because you have probs with someone in the clan whose server you are using. Either front up and discuss it, or get off the server IMO.
But to be honest, the real problem I have is that their style of playing is seriously pissing some peeps off, and those peeps happen to be in XDC and have been for years. We have to make a coherent decision about how we are going to handle this as a group, and stick to it. My loyalty is with XDC members when it comes to this…
Not to worry. We have a perfectly good opportunity here, seeing as Messy seems to have got the message and bugged out of TS. He knows some people in XDC aren’t too happy with him, so now would be a good time to have a word in his shell-like; tell him we were talking about this between ourselves, and while we don’t think a ban is the right way forward, maybe a little less plane whoring etc wouldn’t go amiss.
He obviously likes the server, and we like having him on if he is not being a total arse. Let him know that if people in XDC are leaving the game because of him then it is unacceptable and at the end of the day it will be him leaving rather than XDC members. That should do the trick, and if not, then talk about banning.
Obviously Alzir should do this as it’s all his fault anyway.
i really dont see what all the fuss is about them. sound bunch of guys imo, messy included. i havent seen him step out of line properly in a long time.
if theres a problem with whats typed on the server then just tell him to keep it shut and only let fly his abuse over ts much like are good old old phart 🙂
i think this whole thing is incredibly gay and im frankly getting a bit fucked off hearing about it all the time. its all really petty and childish.
fuck it im tierd and feeling really fucked up due to no sleep so il blame my bad mood on that but in anycase this is my last comment ever on this topic.

A. loseing a few sound people off the server / site
B without makeing xdc look like a bunch of tools
