I was on the receiving end of that one I think, I went AFK for a few minutes at the first base and returned deefending the last base. Previously though Max and I had given Maniac a right good kicking, fastest two rounds of Metro!
server was playing up Matt, I was trying to join at that time and although the game was running (I was on TS talking to people in the game) I couldn’t join and the server didn’t show up on my favourites. It had also restarted itself earlier and then carried on the round from where we left off, but with four of us playing, it was very weird!

and doesn’t require any extra software according to Microsoft, so maybe some more info woould be best, what is the error message? do you have a card reader on your new PC, if so try putting the SD card in the SD card reader, but really there should be no issue, did you try installing the drivers for win vista by mistake?

Personally I would /did replace the mobo for future proofing (!) and get am i5 or i3 processor for cheapness, you can always add a better processor later but a decent i5 will do the trick nicely. Of course this means new RAM probably and maybe new gfx card (just checked and yours is the minimum listed!). Given no case and psu/drives etc, could be yours for about £400-500.
If you do that check the other posts about PCs for BF3, but I would recommend a z68 chipset motherboard (supposed to support the next gen “ivybridge” processors) and SSd caching (of minimal interest to most people though!) as well as Virtu stuff which is excellent for video decoding/2d applications but is a bit complicated and gaming doesn’t really get an advantage from.
i think it will be a processor bottleneck and a new graphics card will have little difference, I had the same with bfbc2 util I upgraded my processor, BF£ is supposed to be a quad core game!
an aa gun can and should take out infantry and vehicles, it’s going to hurt getting hit by the fucker!
