Reminds me of BF42 when it first came out. You could drop a nade at your feet and use it to launch you up to higher spots, it was brilliant on the Omaha map, left hand side of the cliff to get up onto the German area, it mean’t going into the dead zone but you weren’t in there long enough to die and it made capping the rear base so much easier. I think it got sorted in the first or second patch.
I don’t think i’ll be playing this unless i get it on Xbox but even then, i’ve hod my one nearly a year and still can’t use the controller. Anyone know if there’s a hack that allows you to connect up a keyboard and mouse to the xbox? 🙂

Decided to give the mac mini a try in the end. Gives me a chance to try out the whole apple thing and then next year if i want to upgrade i can either move back to a high spec PC or else get an imac if i prefer that way of things. Either way i’ll end up with a half decent HTPC which i can use on my TV as a 2nd pc and media streaming thingie.

I’m still thinking of buying a mac, the question is which one.
Until about an hour ago i was going to go for a base mac mini, hook it into my 19″ monitor and use it as my main computer until next year when i was considering getting an imac and then use my mac mini as HTPC – connected into my 46″ TV as a second pc and media hub……would give the missus her own pc on the TV etc.
Having just read the minimum specs for BF3:
I’m now wondering if i were to invest a little more and get the base 21.5″ model imac, would it play the game ok?
2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM – 2x2GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512MB GDDR5I’m not looking to get ultra settings on the gfx, i know i would need a top end gfx card with 1Gb ram minimum but would the imac specs give me decent gaming at the monitors native resolution or would i need to play in a window at 1280×1024 or summat?

bought myself a honeybee heli a couple of years back but need some lessons to fly it properly and also the space to practice without it crashing into the garden fence as happened last time i flew it!
Think i may invest in a simple heli with duel rotors to mess around with.
Is that filmed in your back garden ? I’m so bloody envious of that setting, i’d kill to live somewhere like that.
