It wasn’t a box ๐ It was series of boxes that combined with me was qasi-transformer, maybe more like a headmaster combined with bertie basset ๐ It was for a fancy dress in 1990 I think – got the boxes free from morrisons which had just opened and my brother went as a cowboy with wellingtons painted white with some tassles glued on haha 8) I won the competition for fanciest dress though and got fuck all apart from a few more sweets (which everyone proceeded to loot…)
Mmm did this almost 20 years ago -_- But with boxes and poster paint and not the fancy rubber/foam stuff… and it didn’t look as nice and shiny ๐

We did dog tags in my previous clan… had name and clan tag, mobile number and rank on there hehe – looked pretty neat 8)
Novell Netware would probably do it but I’ve never really used to too much – early windows wasn’t really designed for networking… probably why Netware & IPX got an early foothold. I guess you could also do it (albeit slowly) through an RS232, but what would be the point?
a) 1mb never had any monthly allowance limit because it’s too slow to thoroughly rape the ‘net compared to 10mb.
b) I never really hammer the connection anyway because I’m not a warez whore… though after formatting I did have a crapload of winupdates and patches for WoW to dl and install… but that’s all I really dl… conneciton is used primarily for gaming/browsing -_-
c) If you checked cablehell you would see many low-use/legitimate users being affected acorss a variety of conenciton speeds and agreements as well as being traffic shaped outside of the acknowledged regions… bear in mind they were even reluctant to admit traffic shaping in the first place and when they did they didn’t admit it for all areas – it’s been reported unoficially in other areas too ๐
It’s upto, meaning you probably won’t get 8mb but there is a sod all chance you will get lucky ๐ Zen’s head office is about a mile or 2 down the road – if you don’t get anywhere with them consider it burned to the ground ๐ Saying that though I’ve seen that happen ona machine in the area but on Tiscali – ona Netgear router it would conenct just fine at full speed but actual performance was shite, but when using the original sagem modem they had no problems whatsoever. Not much ever happened resolving the problem as after numerous hours on the phone to indian support people who couldn’t even support someone out of a closet and trying several other ideas in the end we agreed to fuck it and give up and go back to the modem + ICS.

Full truth – I pay for 1mb, when my conneciton works I connect @ 2mb… but the past 5 weeks I’ve been dl’ing @ 1-4kbps… with multiple packets lost to their DNS servers and rebooting the box only means you can’t see the DHCP server for hours too =/
Those certain traffic-shaping trial areas… do you know which areas those are? They’re the UK ๐ They’re just taking their time getting around to switching it all on…
Your own half truths banged out as fact too though implying Branson had anything to do with ntl: !! He sold them Virgin Mobile for hard cash and a few measly % of their assets, nowhere near enough to be in any kind of control. Anything that Virgin Media does, it does without him. The only reason they’re using the Virgin name at all is to try and piggy back on Branson’s success ๐
Bear in mind branson doesn’t have shit to do with ntl: apart from selling them Virgin Mobile, you shouldn’t be downloading movies you don’t legally own in one format or another and that they have introduced traffic shaping -_- If you hammer you connection @ max speed for 20mins you get capped to half speed for the rest of the day… not to mention the probl;ems thousands ofpeople have been having with their connections (myself included) since the rebranding =/
I’m going through San Andreas for PC on and off at the moment – it’s good fun. I did find Vice City a LOT easier to get into than GTA3 though; VC has bikes, can buy houses and it has some pretty decent 80’s music too 8) I don’t think that means there was anything wrong with GTA 3 as it was OK too, I just like Vice City more ๐ฏ San Andreas would be worth moving on to after you have done VC.. but then again I think I’d still rather play VC… maybe it’s just because of the retro feel of the ’80s I dunno but San Andreas still has it’s merits: pimp yourself up with tatoos, clothes and hair as well as going to the gym to get buff and lvling up your driving and shooting skills RPG style โ โ
There is an online Mod for GTA 3/VC IIRC but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called, but there is the hidden porno games mod for SA called Hot Coffee if you’re interested…

Appleseed 2004 was very nice – I watched it around Christmas I think…
Urotsukidoji was not that good… I haven’t watched it since 2002… but it was kinda funny that the god guy was a pervert.
Fist of the North Star is OK but nothing special – it is pretty funny when he screams launching his thousand hand slap attack but despite the action it’s pretty slow going.
The Guyver is 1 of my faves though ๐ I bought all 12 VHS and the OVA, also imported the OVA soundtrack and a nice 12″ Max Factory model for my room. There has been a much more recent series (2004 too I think) which follows MUCH closer to the original comic storyline and has a lot more episodes as well as Guyver Gigantic ๐
Also Final Fantasy fans (as y’all PC bods it won’t be many) Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children carries on from 1 of the best games in the world… it’s an ok film and redoes some of the original score but as with a lot of ‘deep and meaningful/japanese’ stuff it can get a bit boring in places.
The only shite thign I have is I have VHS for most Manga anime under the sun, except my VCR is goosed ๐ I have downloaded ‘baclups’ of the VHS I do own though ๐
