Where would that leave us if everyone was assholes in WW2? No space program, no computers, no RADAR, no jets, no rockets, nothing.
All of the things you list here were invented before WW2. The difference the war made was that these technologies were altered to aid killing the enemy, which itself is not something I would consider particularly positive.
The ear hears with a logarithmic scale making the difference between the normal sound levels and louder levels much less noticable.
In some mad persons universe, that is a sensible argument. In the real world, however, it’s complete shite. For some reason he thinks that if you’re going twice as fast then you will be heard twice as far away. I would like to see the maths that makes that conclusion true…..
I believe sound intensity drops off at the reciprocol of the square of the distance if it is unfocussed.
