What I don’t want to happen is a repeat of BF2 where all we ever played was Karki and Sharqui just to fill the server up. I’m already seeing this on other servers which are running Gibraltar/Tunis 24/7.
You shouldn’t give Mad Max admin rights then Wipers 😉
Welcome to the boards Barryj. I’ve seen you on the server a few times and it’s always good to hear that others are happy with the quality of the admining at XDC 🙂
I think it’s also down to the team balance as well. It’s rare for XDC to have an evening where there’s lots of baseraping and one-sided teamplay compared to other servers. How many times has someone said “teams” over TS and half of the XDC’ers have swapped sides?
I also think we tend to play at a certain level of decency too. I personally hate baserapers. One server I played on in BF2 had a couple of snipers and a support guy running around and dropping claymores around the spawn points at the Karki Hotel, with no attempts to grab the flag. They were clearly stat-padding, but were allowed to continue playing.
Anyway, it’s always best to keep it real with some quality gaming on the XDC server along with all our L11TB players.

Hover cars/ flying cars are nothing without the infrastructure. Even if a viable one did exist, you’d be severely limited as to where you could fly it.
There’d probably be more mileage (no pun intended) in some kind of aqua-car these days. A dozen ramps in and out of the water along the Thames would be all that was needed. Canary Wharf to Battersea would probably take about the same amount of time, but it’d be a much nicer journey.
