I just had a crash – a pretty nasty 1 too…
Was fixing a computer for someone as a favour… popped out to get them a network switch….
Get the switch, set off back … bloody asshole decides to park on my side of the road, but oh no he doesn’t wait for me to pass when there is miles of clear road behind me, he decides to park IN to me…
I got flipped off the bike, rolled up the windscreen, done more flips than any gymnast ever could in mid air, then next thing you know the paramedics are scraping me off the pavement….
I’m back at home, nothing was broken, but my tongue/left index finger/ left ankle sure hurt as hell…
Goodbye to my £400 helmet and £4k bike… third party only =/
I’m guessing anyone that retarded is probably going to be too retarded to have insurance etc too… but bleh Police gave me a producer and the other guy pissed off minus the front of his car.
Before you ask, I was being a good boy doing 30 (ish) ina 30 zone 😛
Why is it that I can do 90mph in a 1.5 metre gap between lanes in heavily jammed traffic vs lorries and buses and shit and every vehicle pulls aside out of fear, I never get hurt. But… when I’m a good boy, some fucking retard displays how retarded they are and I end up getting hurt…. It was those cocks sandwiching me between 2 cars which pushed me over the egde to go faster in the first place…. Ahh well…. dozy drivers FTW =/
December 4, 2006 at 11:52 pm #40980XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantJebus. Sorry to hear that LeGit, but glad you’re in one piece.
So am I right in assuming it was a hit and run?
That sucks big time.
December 5, 2006 at 12:22 am #40981AnonymousParticipantNah he stuck around, after my bike flew in the air it sort of landed in his windshield I think then bounced off hehe, not really sure though tbh as I was too busy bouncing off his car and into the air. The driver was unharmed, but question is now: a) will he have insurance so I can claim and b) will he appeal against the claim with some bullshit that it’s ok to pull into oncoming traffic when you’re driving right at them… =/ Bit shit he just needs a new windscreen and some driving lessons whilst I need a new bike, helmet, and some R&R though 🙁 Bad enough paying for 2 bikes that were stolen and 3rd I got scammed with a fucked engine FFS to have that on top 👿
Bleh seems my mobile is broken too =/
December 5, 2006 at 1:23 am #40982Mr.FenixParticipantJeepers! Nail your door shut man! Safer online…
Ive mentioned my dad in another thread… He’s done his fair share of biking: out of 38 bikes he’s owned, 22 were written-off one way or another.
I reckon you might get higher stats than that hehe.
December 5, 2006 at 1:28 am #40983XDC_WolfParticipantlegit is a stat whore!
December 5, 2006 at 1:50 am #40984XDC wild egg tamerParticipantsorry to hear about your bad luck…………… 😥

December 5, 2006 at 7:29 am #40986PoD1st-BWParticipantShouldn’t this be in the “motor-racing forum”
December 5, 2006 at 8:08 am #40987XDCiNSANEParticipantlol Pod!
Lesson to nbe learnt here Mr Legit,
1, This isnt the first time you’ve had a bike accident, give up the ghost, you are clearly toss at riding one
2, Get a refund for your Helmet, £400 and its fucked after that.. I’d emand one! 😀
3, umm dont really have a third.. oh yeah your ghey!
😀
December 5, 2006 at 8:28 am #40988LensmanParticipantHere’s a third:- don’t eff about with 3rd party insurance. Always go fully comp. If you can’t afford the insurance, you can’t afford a crash – even if it is not your fault. You still end up shelling out.
December 5, 2006 at 8:29 am #40989XDCiNSANEParticipantGood skillz Lensy! 😀
December 5, 2006 at 9:41 am #40990AnonymousParticipantBleh easier said than done when I’m paying £800 a year for Third Party Alone… Won’t even entertain paying £2k a year fully comp -sod’s law would have it that if by a miracle I found the cash then I wouldn’t have a crash. Seriously though how often do you expect oncoming traffic to swerve right into you from the opposite lane, I did all my checks etc but not even riding defensively could ever save you from that breed of mongrol. I’ll still pick up another bike as and when I can afford it though – I’d rather die on my bike than in my sleep 😛 Shittest thing of all though is I had my wireless router and all kinds of patent related crap for me to deal with under the seat and now the bike is in an impound with a £130 charge and I’m flat broke. Oh and my dog nosed around my desk when I was out and knocked a cup of water onto my Saitek Eclipse keyboard and totally fucked it hehe =/
Insane BTW – Arai kick ass, they may have en exchange fucked-for-new helmet policy as it’s pretty much 1 of the higher class of manufacturers and my model was the next 1 down from the top of the range (out of a large range :P) so I’ll give that a look into.
December 5, 2006 at 10:32 am #40991XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantMy mate had a similar crash to you LeGit, when a young lady decided to do a U turn on a wide road between Amersham and Wendover. You can be the best biker in world, but all it takes is some complete retard to do the unthinkable and you’re jam over the tarmac.

At Insane’s new sig. Orly?
December 5, 2006 at 10:51 am #40992TurksMeisterParticipantOh Really?
December 5, 2006 at 11:01 am #40993crazy hippoParticipantwell thankfully you are are alive which is always a major bonus. sorry to hear about this as it just highlights the fact that i believe that 5 yearly driving/biking licenses need to be brought into place. i spend 2 hours a day driving to and from work and i am always surprised byt the number of morons on the road.
on a completely unrelated note, i love that sig insane
