Ok due to popular demand I have added conquest versions of the Titan maps to the rotation so it goes 2 conquest followed by 1 titan. We can trial this and see how it plays. The rotation is as follows:
Belgrade
Sidi Power Plant
Minsk (Titan)
Camp Gibraltar
Suez Canal
Shuhia Taiba (Titan)
Cerbere Landing
Verdun
Sidi Power Plant (Titan)
Fall of Berlin
Minsk
Suez Canal (Titan)
Tunis Harbour
Shuhia Taiba
Verdun (Titan)Feedback on the order of the maps is appreciated.

First post – so hello every1. Played on ur server a few times now – good job with keeping the *ankers in check and therfore getting darn good gamage 😀 .
Is the map rotation supposed to be in this order? As I played 5 or 6 rounds last night and none were titan. Plus imo some of the titan maps in conquest mode don’t work that well as the CP’s are so spaced out, but thats just my view.
Sweet, must have read my mind, was about to post and say that 2 rounds of titan mode is a little boring.
Think last night someone change the next map a couple of times manualy.
Titan maps in conquest mode are akin to DC maps – engy’s dream 🙂
erm yeah, sorry, that was me, I like Titan maps but the conquest/titan/conquest/tita was getting a bit boring and there are a load of maps that we just haven’t really played so I changed it to include two titan maps as conquest. I tried to do it so that there was stian/conquest/conquest/titan and then back to the original but I may have borked it slightly!
Anywhos, thanks Wipers, look forward to trying them all out!
P.S. some of the maps are fun, but others look a bit unbalanced, might just be getting used to the maps and stuff, but we might need to revise it fairly quickly!

Yeah I’m aware of feedback on other forums which says some of the conquest versions of titan maps are wank. But we can trial this for a few days and find out. I think I’ve only played Verdun at conquest and it was pretty good. It may be that some of them are better at 16 player size.
What I don’t want to happen is a repeat of BF2 where all we ever played was Karki and Sharqui just to fill the server up. I’m already seeing this on other servers which are running Gibraltar/Tunis 24/7. I think the 2142 maps are much more balanced so I am hoping we can keep all the maps going and still keep the server full.

Welcome to the boards Barryj. I’ve seen you on the server a few times and it’s always good to hear that others are happy with the quality of the admining at XDC 🙂

Yeah I hear that loud and clear, after a while the maps just got old as and great maps became a bore. it was mainly the trek from supply base to office and onto central base on Shuia Taiba. Choosing a hoover tank was not a good idea!!!
You will all obey Wipers as the Uber Admin. I would rather you check with him before dicking with server settings. This way we can avoid the fookups of the recent past (such as Pharty having a fiddle). Wipers is putting quite a bit of effort to maintain the server setup, so please do put any requests to him, unless you are very au-fait with Clanforge.
No worries with changing the maps there Wolf, just remember to put is back the way it was when you are done, or else Wips will send the girls around, and then you will be buggered 😈
BTW, almost everyone has only got Level 1 Admin, unfortunately there is no Level 0 admin for Mad_fuckinghaxoringcoont_Max.

oh, I did it via RCON so I wasn’t fiddling with the clanforge settings (I don’t have access to that as I am a student and don’t pay towards the server although I will when I get a job, promise!)

I am sure I have you on Clanforge? In any case, whether you pay or not, members will be provided with at least basic admin access.
