It’s sexism like that which’ll get you banned from XDC Insane. We celebrate underwear diversity here; be it a thong, a teddy or even the humble Y front, our server is open to pants of all types. Except bloomers.

I play in =PINK=, an all girl clan on the game Battlefield 2. Some of us (myself included) are mothers, and one of my friend’s daughters even plays in our clan! We have practice twice a week, and play against other clans for bragging rights.
I feel that not enough is being done to ensure games are geared towards girls. A great start would be to ensure I can play as a female character. In Battlefield 2, for example, I can only be a guy. It would be nice to be able to choose to play as a girl. Girls are finally getting recognition and respect in the real military, why not in a game based on the real military?!
I don’t find that I get hit on in this male oriented game. I play in a group, with other girls, on the =PINK= rented server. While the server is open to everyone who wants to play on it, we retain the rights to kick off any player who is being sexist or just plain rude. To my knowledge, we’ve only had to do this once or twice.

I was in stitches when I saw that, particularly when after the first barrage of fists his mate kind of goes “Woah, woah easy there, we don’t want any trouble” and then gets punched to the ground.

Nice post Turks. This is a very serious issue.
If any woman you have slept with goes to the police station and says “Turks raped me” you will be considered guilty until you can prove otherwise. Guilty until proved innocent. That is a major change in the law.
Sleeping with a woman (let’s not mess around here, this is a law against men) without her saying ‘Yes’ is now a crime. I’m not kidding. If some guy is married and he can’t prove that his wife consented to sex, then he’s a rapist. Again we are all considered guilty until proven innocent.
The ‘Hard-Hitting’ campaign posters are bullshit. If she doesn’t say ‘Yes’ you could go to prison? What the fuck is that supposed to mean? It doesn’t fucking matter what she says to you, what matters is what she says to the police. Those posters should be saying “Next time you want to have sex with your wife/GF, video her saying “yes, you can have sex with me” otherwise she can say whatever she likes.”

Nope. Men cannot be ‘raped’, we can only be sexually assaulted. If the guy in the advert who you’ll end up sharing the bunkbed with takes a liking too you and fucks you up the ass, that’s a sexual assault, which I believe is the equivalent of a woman being groped. It carries a lesser sentence.
Plus if some drunken bint decides to give you a blowjob when you’re passed out at a student party:

You can even rape a girl when you are unconcious! Did she say ‘yes’, how the fuck could you know, but you still penetrated her orally!
Sorry for the soap box posturing and my prolific swearing but this is a pretty significant change in the law and one that will have serious repercusions.

Like most games, there’s a certain amount of emphasis on being gracious in defeat. This guy is being a complete dick, and yes you are trying to ruin his day. Of course you are, he deserves to have his day ruined.
If he’d just sent you a first email saying: “Ya got me, but I saved my fleet! I think I’ll be stocking up on ABM’s in the future.” Then you’d probably have left him alone.
When I was at school, a local policeman came around and said to us not to make ourselves ‘victims’; walking away from fights, not flashing money around in public, not going where you know where there’s gonna be trouble etc.
This ‘tard who’s been mailing you would walking in Harlem, flashing his money around and after he got mugged insulted his attackers mothers. He’d be found dead in some alleyway somewhere.
You’re just trying to teach him the error of his ways before that happens 😉
I reckon two servers would be a good option, but we should stay away from 64 players. Like lord Phartsbury said, stick BFxxxx on one and RO (or Armed Assault or whatever) on the other.
If we can’t get enough people to justify both then we just close one down and make do as we are at the moment.
I used to do that sort of thing at college; hire out two movies, one which I’d heard of, the other which I hadn’t.
I wish I could say that they were great days, but often they weren’t.
