ParticipantFirstly the bad stuff:
1) If you’ve got an ability to leap through rips in the fabric of the universe and appear somewhere else, give yourself a better name than a ‘Jumper’. On occasion I wear a jumper, so I wouldn’t think of naming myself after clothing that I wear. It’d be like Pharty calling himself ‘Peephole Bra’. Other (better names) than Jumper I can think of are Phaser, Warper and Whizzway Rider.
2) If you’re being pursued by mysterious and evil men, jump somewhere like Slough, rather than Rome. Who in their right mind would chase you to Slough? Rome would be a nice break, but Slough?
3) Don’t buy girls crap presents like snow globes, unless you want to risk drowning.
Now, the good stuff:
1) Samuel Jackson gives Anniken Skywalker a pretty good kicking, which is better than anything the Empire could manage.
2) Whoever wrote the film clearly knew what he’d do if he could jump anywhere (namely steal loads of money).
3) Great driving scene with a Mercedes leaping through Tokyo.
4) Mental chase scene that takes place ‘everywhere’.
5) Sharon Osbourne does NOT appear in this movie.

good effects and worth the watch, unless your at a Fri night show in GoldClass where 2 scrotes are behind you talking loudly, drinking alcohol and snorting stuff.. remove these from the mind and you enjoy it 🙂
Yeah, well, Max and Ryzo have just as much right to watch the film as you do.

ParticipantVic I’m really hurt by what you’ve just said about this film as I went to the London and New York premiers. Why? Because this film is based on part of my life story.
To have you say that my life is ‘total fucking nonsense’ is very insensitive of you and it made me cry a little bit. I suppose the bit when I shot bullets out of the air was also ‘impossible’, or when I bent a bullet in mid-air around a corner and hit some bloke in the chest and killed him? Well clearly it’s not, or they wouldn’t have made a film about it.
Admittedly some of the plot was changed from a story about an office worker who joins a local astronomy group, to one one where an office worker becomes an elite assassin, but other than that minor change everything is the same. Also the location as changed from Hemel Hempstead to New York.
So I would strongly urge you all to go and watch this film as everything you see in it is true and can 100% genuinely happen in real life.
(Actually I watched after a few pints and thought it made perfect sense).

ParticipantYeah but Max is a haxxor. We’ve always known that and been repeatedly told by the little twerps who come to our server and call him a cheat. We’ve also been called ‘gay Frenchmen’ too as far as I recall…

ParticipantNot a shot was fired in the operation, although Gen Padilla said the Colombian soldiers could easily have killed the 60 guerrillas gathered near the jungle clearing.
“We preferred to leave them with liberty and life because, in Colombia, we prefer life over death,” he said.
However US fighter planes later napalmed the clearing 😉

ParticipantSad news indeed, by why would Viacom need that information? If it’s due to copyright information, then why would they need information of the people who accessed the site? It’s the site, not the visitors who have broken the rules.

ParticipantI’m getting particularly excited about the current episode in production:
Episode Currently Filming:
BLIND RAGE
Story 3 of the 2008 season is now being filmed: There is a vicious attack at a local youth centre but who is the culprit?
What’s Max going to do next? Tune in next week folks…

Check it out! Although the guy they’ve got to play Max looks nothing like him and doesn’t use any of his catchphrases. There’s no “‘Ave it!”, “Now then” or even a little “I’m free!”

ParticipantFinally got around to watching this yesterday. I’ve not read the comic it’s from, but it was a pretty solid film. My only real complaint would be that not enough vampires got their comeuppance, but at least the film didn’t cop out like so many others do and set up ferocious creatures that end up becoming crap (the gymnastics scene in Jurassic Park 2 anyone?).
Very gory in places, but that’s a good thing in my book. So in summary, if you’re looking for a film where a group of vampires attack a town that won’t be getting sunlight for 30 days then this should be the top of your list.

ParticipantWell, now you come to mention ‘The Witcher’:
And I’ll still get Mass Effect so I can lay smack down on tree hugging types, particularly since ‘PETA vs Greenpeace: Wipeout’ doesn’t look like it’s going to be turned into a game.

I will be buying the ‘Orange Box’ once I’ve got my CCNA, so it’s a definite possibility. I had a go on the PS3 and thought it was pretty good, but I’ll see what it’s like playing with the ‘tards who will no doubt be using it en masse on PC.

ParticipantThis is another game on my list of things to buy once I’ve got my CCNA. Love space opera and RPG’s so this is a logical purchase.

Terrahawks was cool too (but not as cool). It had Windsor Davies as Sergeant Zero, the leader of the zeroids and then One Zero One who as far as I could tell was a gay zeroid. Clearly he was Insane’s favorite character.

ParticipantCOD 4 is on my list of games to buy, but only for the single player. I played it briefly online on a PS3 and as awesome as it was I could see that I would rapidly get hacked off by the ‘gamesmanship’ employed.
Trouble is I gave 2142 another go about two weeks ago and promptly uninstalled it about 30 minutes later following a resurgence of ‘the rage’, but that might be because I played on an EA server. To be honest the good times greatly out number the bad with 2142, but when it goes bad I switch into ‘sweary mode’, which isn’t good. Really, I should be able to distance myself from what happens on a PC monitor, but I get too involved and really start overreacting, especially when I’m playing badly (I’ll blame everyone else for cheating, but I’m actually frustrated by my own crapness).
I guess I’ll have to start playing games like ‘Home Gardening Simulator’ or ‘Having a Nice Pint of Ale MMORG’.

ParticipantSo who else is AWOL at the moment? What’s the story with Wipers?
