heya fella, sorry that GFX card doesnt work with your mobo.
for the overall FPS question, if you are using a TFT monitor and unless it support 100hz then you will only ever see 60fps, however i was running it in BF3 with that card on medium with a resolution of 1920×1200 and getting 45fps. so on a smaller resolution you should get 60 relatively easy, although i know that PS2 can be a bit of a bitch. i ran it on low at the res mentioned above and was getting 50 odd fps so it should still be good at lower res.
intel have been the king of cpus for some time with some of the cheaper i5s being hugely overclockable and very reasonably priced. im not an expert but im sure that someone here will be able to help.

had a go last night, and there is a lot about the game which i like, easy inventory management, stacking items that are the same, not having to move items to side pouches inorder to use them. not sure on the amount of time it takes to kill a zombie with a melee weapon like a hammer.
got to a big city and i really like the highrise buildings, it makes it feel like a city rather than a run down town and being able to enter most of the buildings is also a big plus.
i like the movement abilities jumping through windows etc and the fact that zombies dont pass through walls as much.not sure i like the fact that everyone gets a map by default and that there is a cursor that points in the direction the player is facing, makes it a bit too easy and gives too much information to the player that dayz makes you work for.
you still enjoying it Max? been thinking of getting this as one of the areas i had a problem with day z was the awful controls inherited from arma 2 and this has far simplified controls, inventory management etc

i havent played eve for years, i do get tempted every now and then but i know that i will get very bored with very quickly as there isnt anything i havent done in the game. also i dont have the time to dedicate to playing it as much as i once did.
i have an AMD 5850 fgx card sitting around needing a good home. needs a bit of a blast with compressed air to clean it but it works fine. yours if you want it.
he will get some of it yeah. but there is a chance when a ship is destroyed for the items it is carrying to be destroyed.
the guy flying it is a total idiot, carrying that much cargo in a shitty ship with zero survivability through space where anyone can shoot them. hopefully they learnt a lesson from it 🙂

you run about like a loon in BF3 from flag to flag. PS2 is way too large to do this, also its a game that requires a squad or at least a group of people. i played it briefly and had some great fights that went on for 30 minutes or so. will be playing more once the raft of other games that i have to play has died down 🙂
yeah i got it over the weekend as well, loving it. i completed dishonored which was good but i am preferring XCOM.
one of my guys got given the nickname of “Hulk” so everytime i use him to shoot an alien i have to put on the hulks voice and say stupid things like “HULK DESTROY!” 🙂
blame Microsoft for making it behind the curve in terms of gameplay. they bought bungie just before the first was due for release and changed a lot about it. pc players were going mental at E3 in 1999 over it and then they changed everything so it worked on the xbox.
its not a bad game but there have always been better
