KeymasterDo these titles.ever show up on pc? I’ve certainly never looked at it beyond a few friends playing on console. A bit like goldeneye when it was out, halo games have also struck me as lagging behind the curve. Maybe game changers on console, but nowhere near the cutting edge on pc. Games lke this are actually part of the reason i’ve not bothered with getting a console.

Participantblame Microsoft for making it behind the curve in terms of gameplay. they bought bungie just before the first was due for release and changed a lot about it. pc players were going mental at E3 in 1999 over it and then they changed everything so it worked on the xbox.
its not a bad game but there have always been better

As far as I was concerned, the first HALO was ground breaking. They introduced a lot of FPS standards such as a separate button for grenades (as opposed to a selectable weapon), multi person vehicle in a co-op single player (as far as I know). The Shield buffer but finite health way a lot of games run things now (like planetside). Then ofc MS bought bungie and HALO 2 was just a slightly updated version with no real new feature.
Always had a lot of respect for the first HALO (which I actually took the time to complete on the most difficult setting which took a bit of dedication towards the end).
And to finish off my post, I need some sort of negative comment.
“the newest versions of HALO on gay consoles can suck my dick”.
There we go.
edit. This from a man who enjoys Diablo 3 🙂

ParticipantThe halo games are the only reason i have an xbox, oh and the no funds for a pc.
These are the only fps games that really play well on console. Bf3 feels slow and unaccurate on consoles at times add to that the 24 player limit. Halo works best as 4 v 4 has good weapon balancing and good map layout. Hope thay havent messed with it touch in the newest one.
Was hopeing for some co op but seems im out of luck unless lammie is up for it.October 12, 2012 at 5:00 pm #84015Lammie
