I hope they do a stats reset.

hardly a hack, it’s been semi santioned by EA/DICE on the BF3 forums……well suffice to say, they said there will be no comebacks.
At the end of the day it wasn’t EA/DICE who set the release dates rather the antiquated way the release dates work in various regions. EA/DICE could easily have region locked it, but they didn’t.
no ,it was a piece of piss in the end, just changed a few settings in Internet settings.
The EU/UK servers are already up and full….so much for waiting for the 28th. Fuck that 😀

fuck it, get a decent motherboard, CPU, RAM & GPU and watch it fly, add SSD & all the other bollocks at a later date as funds allow.

Same here, just received the mail informing me of the 27th release date.
It’s a mammoth 11Gb download, but the speed is a suprisingly quick 2Mb/sec

It’s a little confusing as to when we’ll get to play BF3 in the UK, some reports say it won’t be until the 28th, whereas some reports are stating that Origin Customer Support saying that if you pre-ordered through them ,you can play on the 25th, and then theres some that say, you might be able to play it in the UK through a proxy that gives you a US IP address.

Had a gander at the servers from rackage. 3 month contract, 32 player server with 15 slot TS3 server (you get a 10 slot server for free…..but is it enough), works out at :

Total Charge £67.50I’ll commit to buying a month worth, so a 3rd of the total cost upfront, then we can see in 3 months time how to proceed or even if it’s worth carrying on the contract.
I guess if we get enough interest/contributions we could go for the cheaper per month 6 month contract, which works out at £21.50 a month.
