when n0m is playing COD4, all i see in steam friends is him showing up as “in game”, doesn’t tell me what server he is on, or infact what game he is playing.
I’m sure it’s possible for valve to add this useful feature in another update. 🙂
naw, i wasn’t on about the change to rats, we had a map on gravlepit and hydro and on both maps it changed during a round, i’m sure it wasn’t changed by any admin.
can we look into the server setting whereby the map changes mid way thru the map instead of at the end of the rounds. I’m probably to lazy to look, but we should have mp_maxrounds 3, or something. In any case it’s fucking annoying when the map changes randomly, or it could be there are too many admins randomly changing the map to something else.

Of course it’s worth you getting it Max, it has unlocks, it has stats, we have a server, in fact the only downside for you is it’s not made by EgAy. 😀
nope, had a good look in the wank in-game server list and tried to manually connect, i just get timed out.
well just looking on the intro page on the server, in the map rotation, it doesn’t list granary or well.
we need to start adding admins to the admin.cfg file on the server. As i remember you need the admins steam ID# adding
scratch that, have a look at the new beetles mod for TF2, looks like it has a LOT better support.

i’ve noticed that the server only has 5 maps loaded onto it, any chance of configuring the server as we want it?
I had a few hours on the battle creek mod map this morning, it was just a sniper fest ,not bad for a change of scenery but nothing special. I’m hoping there will be a huge explosion in the amount and quality of mod maps once the SDK if released to the modders.
can we also look to installing the mani mod admin tool?
Makes admining a whole lot easier and fun. I’m pretty sure there is a working version for TF2 ,and i’ve used this tool for admining CS:S and like i said, it takes all the pain away from admining.
haven’t played the two new maps yet, but you shouldn’t need to get them from anywhere, the beauty about steam is it downloads the new maps directly from the server. 😀
Oh and GG’s last night on the rats. I just LOVE being dominated by bluesnake. 👿
i don’t wanna give advice out and people go out and drop 25 quid on a game they don’t like, but in my opinion TF2 is worth it, it looks spanky and it fun, fun,fun to play.
IMO ep2 was a bit of a let down, HL2 has a great storyline and the game looks and plays great, but it’s just too damned short, and it’s just the same old weapons and baddies, nothing aoriginal in it at all. i reakon i completed it in 5 or so playing hours, which isn’t a lot.
Portal is THE most original game i’ve played in a long, long time. it literally adds a whole new dimension to playing. i didn’t hear anything about it when they added the game to the orange box package and didn’t start playing it until last weekend, but i was hooked until i completed the game.
On a side note, as part of the episode 2 deal, if you owned the original HL2, you can gift the game to anyone for free (as i understand it), so if anyone fancies a free copy, sign up for steam and gimme your steamID and it’s your’s.
