downloading now……the wife is off on a bible bashing pilgramage in France, i can devote my time to the BF 2142 demo inbetween the changing nappies and feeding frezies of the chabbie.
i see it’s getting uploaded to the newsgroups as i type…..should be complete soon. 17/36 files on there now.

Lost starts in the states tonight and should be available via the usual sources tomorrow. Other season starts that i have been keeping up with are The Unit (kind of an american Ultimate Force), My Name is Earl and i’ve just watched all of a season of Sleeper Cell in just a couple of days.

yeah, i saw a long trailer on film4 recently promo’ing this movie, and it’s the first film in years i’ve actually comtemplated going along to the cinema to see instead of getting it thru “alternative” means.

worst experiance of my career involved batteries….they are evil.
i was connecting a UPS system at a hospital which mean’t connecting a load of, essetially car batteries, in series to make the 240V, when i got to the end i connected the positive and negative terminals together and blew the fuckers up, it vapourised the lead terminals and left me with 1st degree burns on my hands.
in my defense i was only 16 and straight out of school at the time, but it was a steep learning curve, i’ve had plenty of belts since, but nowhere as bad as that.

on a side note, i haven’t been playing recently but relentlessly training my skillls up to a decent level, and shall buttering Matt up for a donation in the near future so i can fit a new ship with some tech 2 gear so i don’t lose it as easily.

the red neon on the cooker plug is just an indicator as to weather the socket is getting juice. it’s just connected across the live and neutral side of the switch, it’ll say on/off……erm because when it is lit it is on, and when it’s not on…..well the neon is off. 😕
I wouldn’t take it as proof that if the neon is off that there is no juice to the plug, because quite frequently the neon will blow, and the socket will still be live even though the neon is not lit.
i’m pretty certain that there is no legal requirements that there should be a neon on the switch…….i’m almost certain that theres nothing in the reg’s about it ( although WET might prove me wrong, there’s so much bullshit in there) and even if there was something in the regs, they are not a legal document.
on a side note, it IS the amps that will kill you, but anything over 80mA is considered lethal ( i’m told it fucks with the Heart’s T-Cycle and can cause cardiac arrest), that is why you should ALWAYS use a RCD unit for portable equiptment outside the equipotential zone of you house………that means when you mowing the lawn or cutting ya hedge to you MAX. 😛
