September 12, 2006 at 6:09 pm #33724AnonymousParticipantBleh nothing happens in that though hehe so not worth the bother.
Lost = sucks, The OC = gay, Greys anatomy = boring but I do enjoy prison break a bit.
I’d go with 80’s (maybe 90’s too) cartoons/shows myself, the cheesier the better:
80’s
Transformers
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
Thundercats
M.A.S.K.
Inspector Gadget90’s
Ren & stimpy
Rocko’s modern life
Earthworm Jim
The TickThe violent cartoons of old with some morals piss all over the modern day carebear crap they’re spoonfeeding kids nowadays (wtf @ spongebob fagpants?!?) 😯 Modern american TV shows are mass produced bags of shite with more budget than ever and even low budget shows with almost no fans whatsoever prawn them something rotten. Even shows which went from strength to strength (Stargate SG-1) have been going downhill as of late; TV is losing touch with acting/story quality after all this reality crap and the push for HD 😡

Neon Genesis Evangelion – (Manga)
Red Dwarf – (Comedy)
Edge of Darkness – (British TV mini series)
V – (First Mini Series)
The Prisoner – (Weird)
Firefly – (Only 1 series)
Star Fleet – (We fuckin’ rock!)

Amen LeGit. I remember that they banned violent cartoons like Tom and Jerry et al when I was younger to stop us turning into violent louts, so can somebody explain to me why violence is on the rise amongst teenagers these days?
*Gets out pipe* You see young lads these days need role models, good ones. In my day we had Optimus Prime, Mr T, Michael Knight, Stringfellow Hawk, Captain Scarlet and John Noakes. Who’ve young lads got these days? Spongebob Squarepants or Wayne Rooney. Seriously though, can you think of any strong role models for boys in their early teens? They’ve just got a bunch of bland boy band wannabes and no real men to look up to.
Sure, the A Team had violence in it but it didn’t do what most kids programs do these days which is to ignore it and pretend it doesn’t happen. In the A Team only evil villains would threaten an old peoples home, terrorise some kids or try and run a family off their farm, and it was the good guys who stopped them. Good vs evil. Boys today aren’t even shown that or even violence in a controlled way, as if by not showing it to them will stop them from being aggressive.
*Gets off soap box*
Bah! Anyway, that’s just something I feel strongly about.
September 12, 2006 at 8:42 pm #33729TurksMeisterParticipantOooo downloading extras now too.

Seconded 😀 Peep Show, Saxondale, Extras, Green Wing for comedy. Sopranos for drama, Bodies – uk medical drama – pisses all over ER and House for realism – shame they ditched it after 2 series.
