There was a time when you could use IRC to contact the server admins at multiplay and they would sort problems out immediately(ish). But does anyone use IRC anymore?
Restarted the server. Looking at the logs it seems it crashed twice in the space of 30 mins and if it does that it’s setup to shut itself down rather than reboot.

I think providing photograph and personal details for the chance of getting a ticket is taking the piss to be honest. For one thing its a massive security risk in the event those details fell into the wrong hands. Maybe he’s hoping people just won’t bother and there will be less demand.

The knife is the same as the other weapons in 2142 – sufficiently different from those in Bf2 to make it difficult to get used to them at first. I think there is quite a small hit box for the knife – you have to get quite close and go for the torso.
Mind you it’s still fairly random – i sneaked up on a prone Beermonster the other day to take him roughly from behind with my weapon so to speak – must have been there for about 10 seconds trying to stab him before he realised the swish swishing sound – he turned round and blasted me with his gun. Much ‘wtf’, ‘no way’-ing followed.
I deal with Dell on a business account and I know they have quarterly sales targets – so if you’re buying around the end of a quarter (next one is end Jan I think) and speak direct to a sales rep he is much more likely to be flexible on price in order to meet their targets.
I’ve been amazed at the discounts they are willing to give – eg I was buying a rack server last summer, spec’ing it up with the guy on the phone and he asks if there is anything else I want with it – I tell him a KVM over IP switch would be nice if not for the price (knowing they retail at £3K). He asks how much budget I have left and I say £500. He lets me have it. ( I should have told him £250 🙄 ).
Btw the 24″ is listed at £479 ex Vat on my Dell premier page.
