    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dell-2407WFP-24-widescreen-tft-monitor-Rev-A03_W0QQitemZ170066351466QQihZ007QQcategoryZ174QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Dammit – I thought I got a good deal on this monitor but this guy undercuts it by another 30 quid! Still on sale on the Dell website for about 800…. tempted?

I have to agree with Insane and Phart on the quality of the picture on it – most impressive. The blacks are black, no light leakage and not a single dead pixel. Bloody good viewing angles too!

ring dell direct, they will match the lowest price you see, a few guys over on hexus phoned up and got it for £500.

just tell em no, and to ring you back when you can have it for £500.

takes no more than 2 days 🙂

They will match the lowest price on Ebay even? I reckoned they would match an online retailer – but not an ebay middleman like on that link.

Makes my blood boil to know that these companies can sell em for 800 quid to trusting chumps and pocket 300 quid as EXTRA markup.

    Capitalism must be destroyed!

I deal with Dell on a business account and I know they have quarterly sales targets – so if you’re buying around the end of a quarter (next one is end Jan I think) and speak direct to a sales rep he is much more likely to be flexible on price in order to meet their targets.

I’ve been amazed at the discounts they are willing to give – eg I was buying a rack server last summer, spec’ing it up with the guy on the phone and he asks if there is anything else I want with it – I tell him a KVM over IP switch would be nice if not for the price (knowing they retail at £3K). He asks how much budget I have left and I say £500. He lets me have it. ( I should have told him £250 🙄 ).

Btw the 24″ is listed at £479 ex Vat on my Dell premier page.
