I’ve been putting off doing one on my computer for ages but with constant crashes i’m pulling together everything and making backups ready for the big day. You’ll know when i’ve done as i won’t be aroung for 3 weeks or so as i am guaranteed to muck it up 8)
Get a copy of Ghost, a big hard drive and make lots of Ghost images as you install the different drivers. That way when you stuff up the install you can go back to the last good image and not have the hassle of reinstalling the whole OS.
My reading of this is it turns off all vehicles including jeeps. The only real problem are the jets esp the heavy bombers – and we have effectively banished those maps from the server. So i dont really see us using this setting on the server. What do others think?

think about it 😉Short term – probably a terminal building, long term – airplane. A mass bombing campaign of the type that has just been thwarted, we think, would have massive economic implications in terms of reduced air traffic – tourism etc in the months and years to come. Psychologically I think people are more likely to be put off flying if they think they are going to bombed in the air, rather than at the terminal building. Its assumed the security will not be as tight at the airport as on the plane and a bomb on a plane means you will almost certainly die a horrible, memorable death. We all remember plane bombings – eg Lockerbie 1989, but how many of us remember the airport bombings/shootings by Palestinian terrorists in Frankfurt, Rome and Vienna in 1985?
To be honest I think we are going to see an increase in security at all levels of air travel from now on anyway – similar to that at Israeli airports and the sort of security we had in N. Ireland – police checkpoints at entrance to airports, random car searches, bomb detectors, x-rays, body search & luguage search – and this was all before reaching the check-in desk.
Yup crazy. Almost as ludicrous and far-fetched as hi-jacking 4 planes and crashing them full of passengers into skyscrapers and buildings of major political importance. I mean, who would bother when you could just let rip at the check-in desk….

Highlight of the night was when I got told off for dumping some artillery in the uncap. It was, however, purely my ignorance, not me deliberately breaking the rules. I’ve always thought that little Island on Wake was fair game for arty, as it doesn’t have a red line through it, but now I know it’s not. So, I’ll avoid it from now on 😉

Its not marked as an uncap (ie redline) but its generally accepted to be one ie Chinese can’t capture it – all its used for is spawning US to take boats to the shore so if you were artying it it kinda falls under spawn raping. As ever I could see exceptions – if a commander was there – commanding or repairing, or a sniper – I would consider those fair game for an arty strike – but when there are no spawns on shore the fall out of innocent spawnees is likely to be high and probably not worth the grief.
