It must be a year ago now, and you were only with them for a couple of weeks, but I still think of you as that fucking goon 😉
Even still I think we can give you home here, though we’re still getting organised for Bad Company 2, and as I said earlier it’s not working well enough for me yet to join in. Sit around TS if you’re wanting a game (details a few forums down), and you’ll soon get to know the regulars. More of us are getting the game all the time, and it’ll help things with you and Ben adding to our active numbers. I’ll sort out your forum access and stuff when I get a moment, but think I’ve skived enough writing this reply 🙂
This was brought to my attention in work today, regarding the hardware issues I’ve been having:
There’s plenty of crap in that thread, but the gist of it is that being a console port the game is putting a lot of the load onto the processoer which would normally be handled by the GPU, which confirms my old single core processor as the source of my problems. Good news though is that I think I’ve found away to afford an upgrade sooner than first thought, so I could be joining you on the battlefield again shortly (at least in between games of TF2 ;))
As I sort of hinted at previously, I’ve gone off the blue red contrast we have on the frontpage, and I’m not really a fan of it here either, although I’ve given it a chance to grow on me over the last week or so. Any chance we could restore it to the darker grey black we had before playing with it, or at least put it in as an option to switch to, for the purpose of comparison?
I’m not an artist though so I wonder if anyone else feels this way?

Actually that would be good Lammie if you could. I’ll jump on it tonight after work around 7 or 7-30 and stick around in case you get a moment. It’s the creation of channels which stick, and assigning admin to other users which I’m struggling with atm.

I don’t think it’s been posted here before, but here’s another epic frag movie, possibly the best one made to date, considering the quality of the editing.
Well aware that TS3 is better than TS2, and will ask about changing eventually…just not overly bothered about it.

Given we bought the ts server on the day of ts3’s release, I have no idea and I’ll have to ask Multiplay about it. I just haven’t been arsed so far.
Jonny, I don’t know flash, but how hard would it be to take the animations from the old flash, and put them on top of the newer banner which we had earlier, and also would it be difficult to increase the size of it so it fits the banner parameters above? I’m assuming the flash was too small to fit on the banner, which is why there’s a slightly rough edge to it?
Oh and if all that’s not too much of a pain in the arse, could the newer lettering of “xdc” be used at all in it?
oh yea well done that’s pretty good Andy, it’s not perfectly integrated but it’s good and doesn’t affect performance (at least for me). I’ve got some minor complaints about some of the new colouring in the theme, but I’ll look at it again in the morning see if a night’s sleep makes any difference to my opinion 🙂
What do others think about this?
Oh and that bit in flash of Alun still cracks me up 😆
