you can now choose a new theme based on the red and blue of the front page in your control panel

hmm doesn’t look too bad. The only thing is the banner, which looks like a tiled windows desktop? Is there anyway to change it, or even can you tell what size it is? Maybe Jonny could stretch the one he made for the homepage?

main prob is that this theme is elastic.. you could make a central banner that is say at least 1280 wide…

i know we do this every year or so but if there are any other styles you like gimme a shout

Well I quite like this one, it’s the first time I’ve ever made a change to the theme which I feel like sticking with. The banner does let it down a wee bit, but I can certainly live it for the 6 months or so it takes for one of us to be arsed fixing it 🙂

i guess it will be easy to make the theme non-elastic so we can have a fixed width banner.. do you have any of the original art work?

Awesome Andy, I think it looks a lot better compared to the original. I’ll see if I can find the original file which doesn’t have the search box (which may confuse people), but I may have to ask Jonny. Great job.

I’ll see if i can hunt it out. With regards to this style its cool but would be nicer if the grey stripes where a blue tone. Although I cant remember how to edit this stuff.

OK i cant find the original banner so if matt has it pass it to me. otherwise ive just changed the grey bits and also the unread messages pic so its blue instead of light grey so its easier to see. anyway here it is : http://www.jonnyspencer.co.uk/themebits.zip

I actually don’t mind the grey and black, and was thinking of adopting a similar colour scheme on the front page 🙂 Upload Jonny’s one though, and at least see how it looks….he is the artist afterall 🙂

Oh and I managed to find the emails we shared back when working on the site, but a header image without the search area wasn’t included. How hard would it be to scrub out?
