you’ve read it wrong mate, i’m referring to the series dying out on the PC not console! It may not be ingame footage as they mostly use CGI for these preview clips but with frostbite 2 being used and them now harnessing the true potential of the xbox 360 i’d bet it’s not far off what to expect in game.
i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t tempted by one, no upgrade costs, peace of mind knowing a game will work to its max potential and a growing number of XDC playing on them………….but i still like keyboard and mouse!
mate you get used to it (ish) obviously you dont get the precision as you would with a mouse, but as mentioned int past, the KB is irrelevant as you only use WSAD normally anyhoos 🙂 honestly, i’m for KB/M all the way, but have to make do with what you have 🙂
and them gfx aint far off the real game, if they aint ingame already
it lays the problem of ‘cheat’ being called out to bed as well !
level playing field for all…..toothbrush racks up 20 kills plus every round to my 10 or so…..the reason….he is better at the headshots…..i fumble around shooting their shoelaces
i too prefer mouse…..its no contest….there is no argument to be had….more precision than a thumbstick could ever provide…….but
its the same for everyone….and the great thing is…..there are plenty of fellow thumbnooblets out there ready to be shot when you do get one in the head.
sure it takes a while to get used too……but on the whole it works really well cos its fair

sorry but the time is ripe for xbox 360…..thats where bills funds are being directed….dont fight it….its pointless….bill gets your cash whatever way you look at it…..come play on the level playing field m8……some of the games i am having on 1943 are easily on a par with the games we used to have in the old days !!
The planes are also very much nerfed. Most people don’t bother using them other than for capping flags quickly at the start 😀
I prefer the 360 pad to mouse and keyboard because it’s my all in one control station. Mouse, keyboard and headset. Can slouch back in my chair, feet up and frag away 8)
Oh and the biggest development ever of consoles? No ingame chat!
No more “OMG YOU F**** NOOBS STOPITTTTT!1212122” popping up on the screen to wind you up. If you want to chat you do it by voice and this stops most of the inbreds whining because they are too scared to speak.

I hammered Shadown Complex last night, one of the best games i’ve played in moons, hugely addictive, I was all like, abother level then sleep, then got a sexy upgrade and, another one and bed.. etc etc.. not done a game in like that since BF till early hours.. superb value at a tenner
i enjoy 360 games for what they are but they almost always lack depth compared to games that are made soley for the PC. there isnt any community with 360 games, no player made mods (no desert combat etc) plus the controls suck. mouse and keyboard is the only way to go for FPS games. console FPS games always have some sort of autoaim and that for me just sucks balls.
dont get me as a hater of consoles as i do enjoy them, i really like 1943 as its good acradey fun and there are great console only games around, but im a PC gamer at heart and always will be.
as for the sitting on the couch playing games in front of a big tv. i sit at my PC in a comfy arm chair, playing my games on a 24″ widescreen HD monitor which gives better pictures than any TV, i have my 360 plugged into my monitor as it gives better pictures than a TV.
