When you say almost a full game in itself is it similar to trackmania nations, the original free version? I’ll be downloading it later anyway though.
pfft, tf2’s a proper team game, cod’s a camping frag fest. 😛
oh and btw everyone, I’m back after a pretty hectic month and able to get on with this team idea again, 2 out of 3 thursdays suit me so should be a good night to organise stuff on. Lets see if we can rally everyone together and work out how to takes things forward.
I got it fixed eventually, I just used pbsvc to reinstall punkbuster and that sorted it out. I don’t use vista but thanks for the response tom, maybe your suggestion will help someone else someday.
Next problem, how do you play that bloody game, I’m seriously shit at it 😆
I heard about this as well as few other incidents like it which I’m too tired atm to remember. My dad’s doing a lot of research into wind farms at the moment and there’s a lot of concern recently about the actual safety of them (there’s some story of a blade flying so far it pierced through a building into someones office 😯 ). Apparently it’s also really hard to find a good site for them but they’re still being put up all over the place because of ridiculously high subsidies from the government.

I figured a private forum would be best for getting this organised and it’ll help show what real interest we have in the idea. I tried to give all the rats access to this along with xdc, but I’ve probably missed a few folks and it’ll take a few days to sort out any access problems. Also I’ve been busy the past few weeks since first suggesting we do this, but can devote some real time to it all from this thursday/friday.
tbh u will find were not fussed what were called as i dare say most of us on the field will be sporting our usual tags
It’s more to do with entry into any competition that we need a name, and we’ll obviously need to use the same tag in actual matches to avoid confusing people. Something short and sweet like =7x= sounds good to me.
Odd, the new window thing works here, but on badger’s “different kind of RPG” thread it doesn’t work?
edit: It seems to work on the public forums group, but not the others.
Dunno if you’re still playing with it but the formatting is way off on my screen.
My screen res is at 1680 x 1050, and it’s widescreen incase that makes any difference.
Andy I’m quite keen to have a look at these new tools but I don’t really know enough about them. Could you maybe set up a test domain for me (plus whoever else fancies a look) to play about with the options and get a feel for what’s possible etc?
1st question: do we need a front page or should the forum be the XDC website?
We do need a frontpage for any clan type stuff we ever want to do. The too main reasons are future recruitment and any competition we’ll ever want to join requires certain features on team sites. Can’t really answer the other questions until I have closer look at WordPress, but it’s sound good so far 🙂
On your friends list under your own name there is an option “My control Panel”, from there you can view all your current invites. Although nobody actually uses it anymore, once you accept the group invite, scroll to the bottom of your friends list and right click (i think) on the XDC group bar, and you’ll have an option to join chat. It’s a bit like old IRC in there, except nobody uses it 🙁
