And sorry for the wall of text, I’m going to break the forums one of these days, but I was kinda bored 🙂
Aye that switch to normal non-hardcore last night was difficult to get used to having played so long on the hardcore squad dm server, with me completely misjudging how many bursts it would take to kill people. Still it didn’t take too long.
I was laughing more btw at your intial death streak on the dm server when I joined and you kept popping up just in front of me 😆 That was some good rage 😉
Oh and I take it then that you would prefer us to go lower than 32 then, if I decide to pick up a server this weekend? Anyone else got a preference?

Killing wolf in BFBC2 is both easy and satisfying – so may be worth a punt for helping you recover.

Got your invite last night Silver, so I guess it must need us both online at the same time before it sends properly. Good games as well on that squad DM server, and you did well carrying our team on a good few rounds 🙂 We had a few things going on in TS, but sorry if you ever got isolated, as we were trying not to leave you lone wolfing it for the most part.
Stalker was playing a lot of that Dragon Age over Christmas and said it was really good, so I guess no worries Turks, at least it’s better than some console shite. About your BC2 bugginess thing though, I came across a thread on another forum the other day and was trying to remember if someone in XDC was having regular connection problems in the game, and I thought it might have been you? If that’s the problem, try disabling upnp on your router as it causes problems from some routers. BC2 is really not that buggy btw, except maybe the friends system.
lol yea that shot the other night was one of the best moments I’ve ever had in a game. Just a shame Ben was called a noob after it by his passenger. It had nothing to do with his flying, just awesome luck on my end 🙂
The other reason, I forgot to mention, regarding why we should get our own server is the long term aim of adding to XDC. We need to get ourselves out there a bit and find some new PC members. Plenty of good people we’re yet to meet online.
And Hardcore’s alright Paddy, but it just feels a bit limiting. I’ve always been one to go with everything a game has to offer and don’t get annoyed by silly things like spotting or kill cam. I’m of the opinion they add more to the game than they take away.
Server settings will be enough of a headache to sort out amongst XDC, and both Rats and Hussars seem to prefer Hardcore.
With our own control of it, we can make a decision depending on who’s about.
Oh and when are you going to join us again Turks? Not seen you about since before Christmas?
Will be good to have some friends teams to play get the ol’ blood flowing!

Cool, I’ll try and add you tonight, but you’re right it’s a really shit system. It might help if we’re both online at the same time though, so maybe jump on Steam and see if I’m playing, or at least message me and I’ll jump on.
TS isn’t too bad to get used to again btw, but even if you can only listen it does help a bit, although we do fail badly with our comms sometimes 🙂 Really need to work on my panic shouts, like the one last night which really didn’t help Paddy when I shouted “stabby person behind you stabbing”, completely failing to mention Paddy by name until he too had been stabbed 😆
Great effort on this so far guys, and just wanted to say thanks. At the weekend I think we had Queeks, Jar, Maniac, Wolf, Doc, Stalker, Streff, Space, Viper, and myself all on TS, and almost all of us on the same team at one point, but we certainly kept up a 4 man XDC squad for the majority of the day on Saturday. I missed Sunday because of the football, but we had a 4 man squad last night for a few hours, and I’m hoping for more of the same during the week.
Anyone else who wants to join in, keep an eye on Steam for when people are playing, and/or jump on TS which is where we’ll normally be. Even if TS is empty or there are people sitting in the AFK channel, be patient, as there’ll always be someone thinking about a game, and feel free to fire out a few invites over steam messenger if you’re bored.
We’ve actually had a lot of people on teamspeak recently, and last night was the first time in a long time that I logged on expecting to see people on there. Sure enough Maniac, Wolf, and Queeks were there and in a game. Steam’s a pretty handy tool as well, and I’ve had it running constantly in the background for probably the past 3 years without any issues.
Was trying to find Leccy’s comics today and noticed the XDC gallery link on the front page is still fucked. Don’t suppose you have the URL this should be pointing to?
Oh and does anyone know where Leccy’s comics are?
