December 22, 2010 at 2:44 pm #77920AlzirKeymasterActually it’s pretty good on the PC, alot better than any previous game expansions I’ve seen from EA.
December 22, 2010 at 4:47 pm #77921XDCErratic-SpaceParticipantGood crack on the PC. Anyone who has BFBC should pick it up and join the squad play! Just gotta get used to these new maps and run away when I see choppers! I’ve yet to use the flamethrower too!
December 22, 2010 at 7:57 pm #77922xdc the docParticipantThat bastard wolf persuaded me to get it last night.
Love the lack of red dots and UAV’s. Loved flame grilling a few peeps. Loved kicking wolfs ass on every map through my all round brilliance.
Everyone get on TS of a night – stop fucking about playing with yourselves (figuratively and literally). Steam is also good to see who is around – but TS is much easier for co-ordination.
Sorry Matt but IRC is way to 90’s… it will never take off.
December 23, 2010 at 12:08 am #77923XDC_WolfParticipantdoc, I don’t recall the ass kicking. I do find it odd that more XDC were on the rats TS than ours tonight. Buck up guys!
December 23, 2010 at 4:35 pm #77924TurksMeisterParticipantI bought this last night and tried to join XDC by channel was empty.
Its ok… no major changes though, and it took me about 20 mins to get in the game, and crashed out a couple of time… not really what you would expect from a game which has been out for close to a year.
Was fun while it lasted though.

Aye that must’ve been after Paddy and me moved across to the rats. The last week has been pretty good in TS though, with us peaking at around 7 or 8 people one night. That’s likely to die down over Christmas as Paddy and me will both be away and few others can be arsed waiting for folks to pop on. That could change though with a bit of patience and regular contact between XDC.
Oh and you must be surfing a lot of Turkey porn, because your PC problems are incredible. BC2 does crash to desktop sometimes for me, but nowhere near that frequently.
Good games last night mind you, just a shame I had to drop out at short notice, and that so many people like hardcore (my new pet hate).
December 23, 2010 at 8:18 pm #77926xdc the docParticipantJust get on TS and turn your mic off. Then if you see peeps later on you can turn the mic on and away you go. Whats the downside to that?
Turks is right though – the server browser in BFBC is the most fucked up interface I have seen for years. Buggy pile of crap.
GG last night Wolf. Enjoy your hols.
December 23, 2010 at 9:08 pm #77927XDCiNSANEParticipantTook the plunge and bought it last night on PC, the latest vid on Xboxlive just wet my pants and I got all emotional about the old days of teh fab game that was BFV, it was the licensed in game music that did it for me though, just waiting for it to download then I’ll pop on for a dabble
Didnt go Xbox route as I just dont get on with CTRL and FPS no matter what I tell myself, I want to fly round in the huey when dusted off my Joystick! 😛
Come on
December 24, 2010 at 11:49 am #77928TurksMeisterParticipantI have 4 days girlfriend free… Monday/Tuesday will mostly be spent playing games… anyone else around?
January 8, 2011 at 10:44 am #77929XDCSprogParticipanti’m into this on the xbox…..admittedly its tricky with the thumb stick but its the same for everyone else…..and a good medic can always revive if you get shot up all the time like myself.
for that reason alone it would be good to squad up at some stage if we can get 4 of us goin on xbox live ??
January 9, 2011 at 9:34 am #77930SpugsParticipant360 version is getting more of my attention. Am getting used to the controls and finding the transition between vehicles and foot a lot easier, none of that, wheres my joystick, aw crap i didnt plug it in or map some criptic key combination to the pov up button because the game doesnt recognise my hardware.
The aiming thing with a 360 pad is ok. When you zoom in the controls slow down, making the fine aiming alot easier. Only been doing it a few weeks but am getting the hang of it now.
Granted the PC version is far better graphically, but there is someting about a big telly and sofa combination that just makes it irellevant.
But the true winner is the, log on to live, xbox tells you who else is on line, what they are playing and if you fancy a game you just join them and turn on your headset. Job done.
January 9, 2011 at 12:50 pm #77931XDC_WolfParticipantbig telly? Try it on a projector, that’s where the shizzle is at. As far as changing hardware is concerned, I don’t, I can fly choppers and drive tanks with all the grace and skill of a dyspraxic cat with mouse and keyboard.
