Not going to have Veitnam until Monday, but if you jump on TS don’t worry about the mic thing. As long as you can hear we can have a squad of sorts 🙂 Better than nothing.
Oh and before you got logged out I was wondering whether a frame like the one you have atm could be used below the forums as you almost had initially?

Cool, I actually just saw you in TS although your mic looks as if it was turned off. If you pop back in, I’m actually in work atm, and not able to reply except maybe via text. Spookily my Logmein Pro trial actually allows me to hear what you say though, assuming I’m still connected. If you need to test your mic I can reply by text in TS. I’ll get home about 7.
where are you lot playing BC2?
In the brief time I’ve been playing I’ve not really settled on any particular server mate, and I think it’s just a case for most of us of firing up TS and seeing where the game is. Do you use Steam at all, because you’ll be able to see when a lot of us are in a game, or do you use anything else like Xfire?

Just a heads up regarding my connection problems, so I’m not having to repeat myself all weekend. I’ve stayed connected to TS just to keep an eye on how bad they are, and the logs are showing disconnects on average every 20 minutes. Very occassionally I’ll have a stable connection for an hour and a half, but normally there are 3 or 4 disconnects an hour.
I’ll be about over the weekend for BC2, but if I disappear, this is why. I’ll keep rejoining games for as long as my patience can handle, but may drift towards something like civ5 for the times I’ve lost patience. Still give me a shout if you’re up for a game of anything, but it doesn’t look like things will be back to normal for me until early next week.
Yea, that’s something I’ve been trying while looking for a better solution. Changing DPI settings normally takes a few seconds to apply on my mouse, although it might work better now I’ve got win 7 installed. It can also be a pain in the arse keeping track of where I am on list of 5 personal DPI settings, especially when I can hit the button sometimes and nothing seems to change.
I was able to read up on Alpha’s links last night and the solutions there sound perfect. Sadly I didn’t have a stable enough connection to last long enough in game to test them.
Sadly the net issues are nothing new, as it’s been affecting me since the summer, and actually caused me to reformat and reinstall windows etc a few times. It was only 2 weeks ago that Virgin’s amazing tech support owned up to us having high utilisation in our area, and advised it was being fixed around the 14th-21st December after I threatened to leave. They’ve got until then or I will.
It may be because everyone’s being knocked off the network, but the pings I’m getting to servers between drops are excellent again.
My ISP have told me they’re upgrading our exchange this week to sort out the network issues they identified in June! This is good because the night before last, I literally could not play because of ping issues, but unfortunately I seem to be dropping my net connection a few times an hour while they’re working on it. Hopefully won’t need to be patient with this for much longer, but I’ll be about as much as I can in between drops.
Who do you regularly play alongside from XDC?

Also Fluff, what’s the full name of the BSM server? I think I found the OAP server last night, but couldn’t see anything with BSM on the server list. And are you Fluffybunny or =XDC=Fluffybunny in game? I’ve sent an invite to both.
