In fact having met people from many different countries I can honestly say people are pretty much the same whether they’re from – Some are cocks, some are genuinely nice people.
Wisdom Words of the Week from Wipers !
Back to the main clip of the ‘idiotic Americans’, still doesn’t rival the day at work when a colleague asked me about back in SA, and very honestly: ” Have you been attacked by Lions ? “
Huh ??
“I saw this nature program where they are shown roaming wild, how do we stop them from attacking us in our towns ?”XDC Dutchman
ParticipantCheck out the latest issue of CustomPC magazine at WH Smith, they have a very good article about building your own £250 PC:
COVER STORY
We all dream of owning a top-end PC, but the reality is that not everyone can afford one. So, for people with limited budgets, we wanted to find out just how low you can go and still get a decent PC. This is why we set ourselves the challenge of building three PCs for the measly sum of £250 each. We reckon you’ll be shocked by how good these budget rigs are. This is taken from their site, but obviously doesn’t have the full article. I remember browsing through this, and they had something like a AMD 64 3000+, 512mb ram, 80gb hdd and a Nvidia 6600GT.
Obviously this excludes a screen, but reckon you could get a decent 2nd hand monitor for £50 !XDC Dutchman
ParticipantHmmm, doesn’t sound like much, but a quick search on Ebay shows you can get the following, and many like them:
FUJITSU E4010D LAPTOP for £249 + £25 postage buy it now.
Specs:15.1″ LCD DISPLAY
PROCESSOR PENTIUN-M 1.6GHZ
MEMORY 256MB
HARD DRIVE 60GB
DVD DRIVE
MODEM / LAN / WIFI
WINDOWS XPNot bad, although I would recommend buying a second hand laptop/PC from someone you know, or at least somewhere that’ll give you some kind of guarantee, even if it’s just the fact that you know where the person lives and you can throw the laptop through his windows if it’s not working !
as for PC, I’m sure Pharty will do you a deal you’ll be hard pressed to beat.

ParticipantLol, british people and lightning is really funny!
I remember the time I was at work and people got all excited and were rushing to the window, and when I asked what the big deal was they said: ‘Did you not hear the thunder ?’
What ?
Being from SA lightning and thunder is such a common occurrence you just take it for granted. Took a great clip when I was last back home of an electric storm where the lightning is constantly striking and the thunder just rolls on and onBTW – That site is like watching paint dry

ParticipantSeems good value, that is a brilliant system, wish I could afford it !
Just remember it’s gonna be £2010 with the XP professional, unless he wants to do the os install himself

ParticipantThink everyone has raised valid comments
You’ve gotta run perfmon and capture a log whilst playing bf2, monitor standard stuff for processor, hdd, memory and monitor your processes as that’s most likely to tell you which app is causing you problems
If you say it happens during normal use, do you mean surfing the net and such. If so, run perfmon whilst this is happening, it’ll be easier as you can visually monitor this if you have only a few things being monitored
Overheating of graphics normally leads to weird displaying graphics so doesn’t sound like that is it though
Chances are it’s some spyware, or hw issue.XDC Dutchman
ParticipantPerhaps some form of adware that pops up related sites depending on the site you visit ?

ParticipantInsane, I do realise Superman is based on a comic book and in comics you can pretty much get away with anything..
BUT, most other movies try to explain why things are the way they are. So superman is superhuman as he’s an alien and inherits special abilities blah blah blah.
Spiderman got bitten by a radio active spider and blah blah blah
The X-men and women got that way through mutations of their DNA and blah blah blah
Batman, we’ll he’s just a guy with anger issues !At least in Spiderman we see Spidey having to weave his suite back together, which hopefully kirsten dunst will do in the 3rd one for him.
Batman Begins explains the reason behind his bulletproof suite and other gadgetsI need things explained, ask Max, I can’t go on assumptions like if this dude is Superman then his clothers are superstrength too
Still sticking with my believe that Superman is for kids, and not the kid in you.
Now Transformers, that’s gonna appeal to the kid in you !XDC Dutchman
Participant😯 Crazy guy, Surf or Die I guess !

ParticipantOne word to describe Half-Life2 Episone One – RUBBISH !
You pay decent money ( $19.99 ) for what ? About 4 hours (if u suck like me, probably about 2hours for good players ) worth of fighting the same enemies, playing the same weapons, following a stupid story line with all the same scares as the original Half-Life 2 ?
I feel violated by Valve, and not in a good way !Should’ve used this money for Red Orchestra instead.
