Oh, well if you insist. But don’t blame me if it all comes crashing down around your ears.
You may already know this, but I have rented my server from these guys http://www.inx-gaming.co.uk/
I know you lot are looking for a dedi box but they do them as well.
I have to say that the customer service and genuine desire to help has so far been outstanding.
These guys are gamers themselves and have a really good attitude.
Just a reccomendation from me and one more to consider.
As regards, the server it seems to be performing fine. Any issues I have had were to do with running beta modded maps that crashed the server not the server itself.
Anyway, there it is take it or leave it
Now leave me alone and stop pestering me, I’m busy you know!

Just as an informational, I shut down our server untill around 2.30pm today. I have changed some of the config settings and want it ti register with the master server list.
Just been investigating why the redirect was playing up yesterday (3K download speeds) and why alot of people couldn’t access the website.
Siteground, the people we have our webspace with have said this:

This is the final and and official SiteGround statement for the issues that occurred earlier today with your host server.
The issue itself relied beyond ours and our Data Center’s authority. It was caused by a connectivity problem with one of the main upstream providers of our data center. We in cooperation with the data center’s top technicians however did our best to bring an alternative connection route in action as quickly as possible and make your website accessible again.
This operation was successfully completed by our technicians just minutes ago and the necessary reliability tests were performed and successfully passed. Currently no problems whatsoever are present in terms of server accessibility.
We would like to to thank you for your understanding during this short-term outage.
So providing we dont have any more problems I’ll put the slow download speeds and dead website down to that.
I’ll monitor the situation and if it happens again, look into it further.

I am probably barking up the wrong tree here but have you got Vista?
If you have you may be updating the pb folder in your C:program filesactivisioncall of duty 4 – modern warfarePb folder
When you should be updating the pb folder in your C:usersyournameappdatalocalvirtualstoreprogram filesactivisioncall of duty….etc etc Pb folder
The appdata folder is hidden so you will need to select show hidden folders in your folder options section before you can see it.
If you haven’t got Vista then I really don’t understand why it wont let you in. Maybe you could remove that wall hack or something
Just as an informational I have as discussed earlier created a Server area over on our forums.

In there you will find our TS details etc and screenies from the maps running on the server at the moment.
I have removed Backlot 2 and Matroska as they are a little boring and dont really have the Wow factor of the other maps in rotation.
I’ll be updating the 1st-TAG download area later for those of you who want to make use of it 😀

No it was fine, really. I was glad that you guys made the effort in the first place. It can be a pain having to download the maps especially if you have a slow connection.
I am in the process of creating a server section on our forums. So if any of you want to decide whether the maps are worth the hassle of downloading you can check out screenies for all the maps there. 😉

Hehe, had some good games last night. I think at one point we had about 6 XDC players on.
As regards maps, I thought they all played well but having had a chance to play Backlot 2 properly for the first time I think it lacks the wow factor of some of the other maps so i’ve taken it out of the rotation.
I have found a few other maps that look cool so will be adding them to the server over the weekend.
I’ll give you more info when it’s done.

I’m pleased to report, my work is complete 😀
I had made two errors.
1/ I for some reason didn’t type in the www part of the redirect address
2/ The redirect folder was in the directory above the public_html folder not in it 🙄
So it’s no surprise really that things weren’t really working as they should have been.
Anyway, i have just tested all the maps. All now work fine. I have been getting download speeds of 500 KB/sec with maps downloading in a few minutes or so obviously depending on your connection 😀
So unless you have a slow connection, you should be able to join the server with only a short delay without downloading the maps before hand.
As I said earlier, my Xfire is ToM6666, I’ll have a scout arounf your forum see If I can find yours so I can start stalking you
Let me know if you get any more probs, but I don’t think you will
