    they have a spawn protection of a sorts now 🙄

    i know that this isnt a game for us all to play, but one or two guys like a bit of realism, i have been playing it for a few weeks and didnt post because i knew that its a niche game and only posted because they released a new version on saturday which make it a better game.

    if the time is put into it, it is quite a rewarding game ala RO, but you do need a decent attention span and a sense of direction.

    probably wont pick up RO again (or a long time) best realistic fps ever, to be honest i just got too good at it after a year or so and tended to always come top and could with dazz and gra turn most games around turning certain defeat into a win. Shame because at its height our server was one of the best 8) and the best community since 1942

    i shall play this for a few weeks while searching for the next great game (as if)

    K m8, yes the original promised a lot and delivered fuck all, the new version has addressed most of the issues.
    It is very confusing i admit, but it helps in keeping the kiddies away 😀

    a couple of the maps are a bit pants, but the new one with the bridge is pretty damn good.
    You do tend to die without knowing where the shot came from, but you soon learn 🙄 a decent team will steamroll a average one big time, have been using the steam in game chat to great effect with a few guys.

    you cannot play this game as a one man army…..period, a couple of times i have tried and got mullered, stuck with a couple of guys and done fine.

    it is extremely easy to get depressed playing if you are up against a good team, but exhilarating if you can turn it around.

    Have been playing on and off for most of the day and am quite enjoying it….DO NOT PLAY if you only have 20mins or so, because you will get pissed off and wont pick it up again 🙄

    whats the point of an artists impession of how they would like it to look/play…..ingame models and fancy art work give you no idea of how the game will look and play….yes i am a miserable old fecker, cause the gaming industry is full of charletans and cnuts 😐

    giving the Insurgency mod another go……havent pld cod4 for 2 weeks, cause every time i picked it up i realized how bad (imho) it is…i may pop on and give the custom maps ago as the 1st Tag guys are good fun 😉

    can now…looks like a gfx driver issue

    try enabling your Audigy with latest drivers and gfx drivers and the -dsound parameter (you could try using -openal parameter instead) and without ..post results

    new drivers still didnt do it for me so i had to use on board and the -dsound perameter

    now try with the Audigy disabled, the shortcut …

    C:ArmAarma.exe -dsound

    you can add the other perameters when we get it working 😉

    try disabling Audigy in device manager, just to see if arma fires up, then we can will know if its a sound issue. ( both with and without -dsound shortcut )
