I was on the Iraq / Kuwait border 1993. Was on your standard patrol nothing to get excited over. We were used to sparatic gun fire and even being involved in the odd gun fight with the local muppets who thought the war was still on and they could win it single handely.
We heard close fire, moved into protected area and called in the info, standard stuff……. the gun fire continue, we decided we wernt in direct line and moved futher down the street…. bang, ouch, burnt foot, hole in leg!!!! FUN!!!! ish…Yes I still have the rather mis-shapen bullet its in the attic somewhere.
And being Welsh is bloody great!!!

I got shot in the leg once.
It was a richocete from a AK-47. Hit me in the shin. I didnt really notice it until the rather hot tip fell into the top of my boot and burnt my foot!!
Left a lovely scar thou and a dent in my leg…. cool!!!
