I suspect we’re gonna see all the MS paint pictures from last year turn up now!

But unlike you whiners here I’ve actually done something about it and programmed my own video game (sort of) which takes the good aspects of each game and combines them to create an exciting and above all realistic combat simulation.
If it’s supposed to be realistic how come the cowboys are using yellow tracers then? It should be purple and you know it. Come on Neon, sort it out.

Those screen shots were from the Beta version, so in the release copy the colours of the laser guns will be more accurate, making you actually believe that you are in a genuine cowboys versus zulus battle from the 1950’s.
Insane and Max, we are taking pre-orders for the agame and as I know you I’ll let you have it for a £10 each (non-refundable). We also reserve the right for the game you order to not actually be a game, and just some dodgy bitmap that I’ve turned into a GIF so that the screen moves.

We’re producing a couple of downloadable booster packs: Battle Attack Commandoes: The Fighting Fez and Battle Attack Commandoes: Sombrero Surprise which will feature new hats and hairstyles at only £5 each (non-refundable). Although these new hats won’t fit into the normal map rotation.
Unlocks include:
Sandwiches
Boats
Biros
Caravans
Roman Candles

October 10, 2006 at 3:18 pm #35237XDCErratic-SpaceParticipantWas just going to ask about the unlocks.
So what maps will we have? Ha 🙂
2142: Things I liked
*I liked the way you get additional points now for defending. Have had some coolio battles defending the terminals on the Titan. Don’t seem to get as many points these days in 2142?
*The graphics. Very shiny and cool. I like the way things explode and the weapons look funky as hell on this, dare I say better than BF2! Damn that water though as I keep driving into the stuff not realising it’s too deep.
*Sound all very good and proper. I run it with a DMX6/Xfire so I can hear my soldier scream in pain when he gets shot up (usually by Max in a MEC I might add)
October 10, 2006 at 10:37 pm #35238XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantWell, I tried to Install BF2142 3 times after downloading it from EA and it wouldn’t play. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
I’ve got better things to do than get a demo to work.
I gives it a thumbs down thus far.

That’s the fellah’ (as people from North of Milton Keynes would say). Is there a way around this Max? (he says hoping the answer is ‘yes’).

Although is it worth getting the demo to work, or just bite the bullet and buy the game?

October 11, 2006 at 10:17 am #35245XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantNice one Deicist. That’s what i get for not keeping my Direct X up to date. I guess I might as well update my video drivers too whilst I’m at it.
Cheers
