Thanx for your help on this steam thing!… i think im doin summat wrong.. tried to DL/buy orange box but i get the message ‘Steam Error: This subscription is not available for purchase in your country’ the price is in $. I uninstalled it and then re-installed it lookin for a UK/English option instead of USA but couldnt find anything. I know its prob me bein a dick but…. what have i done wrong?!?!

bought it and started downloading it yday, it started at 29% , im guessing this is because some of the engine is already installed with Half life (or DoD which is on my machine, where as Half Life isnt), i left my pc running and i found it had stopped at 64%, and didnt say it was downloading anymore, jst tht it was at 64%, so i closed, reopend steam, same thing – i gave my pc a restart and it seems to be downloading from 64% again (after briefly saying that it was on 0%), not sure if anyone else has had this problem, or if its just my steam-shit. but il find out where it is at when i get home.

Odd one!, My download for TF2 was weird. Paid for it from the main steam page and it said it required 7GB of space! It then started to download and downloaded 1.5GB of data and was ready to play, However it does take up 7GB of space on my HDD, so may be it was a highly compressed download. Then a small patch to download from the 25th October and away you go.

The half life forum was created for stuff like this (actually specifically for tf2, when we thought it would be out soon), but I guess we could rename it.

I’m not actually that convinced Mike. Sure it looks sexy and all that and I’m sure the game is going to be worth having but I have my doubts about the multiplayer. Is there no MP demo yet?
