Magicker said that he can use one of these styles to make our forums look more l33t (my word, not his). I’ve collected some of the links to the different styles available (all of which can be viewed here), which some of the folks here mentioned that they liked on the thread in the General forum:

Have a look and see what you think. This is really just to give everyone an idea of what’s available. Unfortunately there are too many options for a ‘they’re all rubbish’ option on the poll, however at least it’ll give Magicker an idea of the style that we prefer.
TBH they’re all shit. Light text on a black background is a no no as any web designer knows unless you want your eyeballs on stalks after 15 minutes. The only half decent one is BBlite and I’m not sure its any better than the default one.
I’ve got to say I think the Desert Rats forums are one of the best looking forums I’ve seen.
LOL I love the rats forums.. its sexual .. however as discussed with Andy on MSN to see if we could have em.. it’s a payable option.. I think £91 .. + all updates for sites require payments too.. so this is the cheaper option for us all
Dunno if £90 was a month or a year though :/
each user can select their own style so i can install more than one and you can pick your own.
however, we do need to decide on the defualt theme for visitors to view – we can then create a front page based on this theme with the usual XDC info and gfx on it

notebored is a good un, but i’l settle with whatever the majority rules…
*edir* just had a peek at BBlite and that looks nice enough.I thought BBLite wasn’t anything too special, but I think it looks nicer than the standard one without being too OTT.
The poll is really just to get an idea of what style we’d like to see, rather than the definitive choice, so there’s probably loads better than BBLite, whilst keeping the same feeling.
TBH i prefer this as it is now to all of those.
comic book is my fave out of all of them but i hate the way it does not take up the whole screen.
