I’ve had a set of Sennheiser’s for a few years. Sound good, feels well comfy, can’t remember which model. Might be PC160 ish 🙂

seconded for the barracudas. sound quality is second to none and mine have lasted longer than any of my other headsets ,i generally go thru at least one every 6 – 8 months or so.
if its a good quality set of headphones that you wont only use for gaming then as itchy says I’d recommend sennheiser as used by the proffesionals 😉

Considering in a few months you’ll be buying another set of medusa’s.. then yes very much worth it.. I’ve had 3 sets of the fuckers, granted the sound is great, but you’d expect that with the amount of wires and box they come with, the baracudas piss all over them for sound .. just read them reviews.. all of them owned medusas and thought they were the danglys till they got hold of these, and I’m one of them.. you get what you pay for I say. very comfortable and sturdy they are too.
Do NOT buy the Razer barracudas, Steve bought 2 pairs, and sold me one his pairs, and like a chump i accepted. The build quality is absolutely shit, the screws always go loose or fall out into the headphone casing, ive had nothing but static that randomly pipes up now and then – you have to give the head phones a good hefty wack to get rid of it, but itll just come back in another 10 minutes, the actual size of the heaphones wont fit you unless you’re meric the fucking elephant man, and you cant adjust them, the only good thing is the sound quality and the mic, the rest of the headset puts me off, so il get either a medusa or another high quality pair of headphones – as iv got a soundplaster x-fi gamer-pro fatality card, and want to make the most of it.
Dont forget Steve and Ryzo are related 😈
Are you sure you bought the baracuda’s? They adjust fine on mine, dont have sound issues or loose screws.. maybe its you two who have heads like John Merick and the rest of us have normal heads 🙂
3 pairs of medusas to one pair of razers pretty much says it all to me.. cant fault them at all
p.s why on earth would you buy 2 pairs? I remember when I bought mine, steve bought a pair within hours of me raving on about them, and about 10 mins after her received his, he expressed his dissapointment, but he bought another pair?? and after he said there were shit, you bought a pair off him? I think he saw you comming mate 😆
no. uv got it wrong. he bought both at the same time, he accidently ordered two. so i never got a chance to hear how shit they were. and yes im positive there Baracudas. Flimsey and wank, cant fault the sound, but cant put up with the rest of it – so will be moving onto something else.
Dazzer, you never did say whether you wanted a surround sound gaming headset or just a stereo one for music which’ll be fine for gaming too.
I have medusa headset, cracking set. Never tried the Razer stuff, but the medusa is really nice and comfy and awesome sound, that bass can do some damage to ol eardrums
As mentioned before, a pair of Sennheiser’s if you want something for music would probably be better
