KeymasterI know there’s umpteen threads about what mice people should get etc on this board, but the search function is shite and I have a question too.
I’m looking into getting a G9 Logitech mouse or a Razor one (though I dunno which, and which version of either) but what I want to know is what difference, in real terms, is there between a gaming mouse make over the bog standard optical one I’ve used for years – apart from price?

Participantg9, 2 covers for it, so hand size doesnt matter 🙂
i dunno about the razor range but my g9 has weights so you can fiddle about till it feels right.

Ahh well you know what they say about small hands 😉

So there’s diamondback and copperhead, are these just marketing versions or is there a real difference?

I just bought the Razor Copperhead, I felt the Logitech G5/G9 have too many buttons on them!
Also nice big left and right mouse buttons on the Copperhead £33 from ebuyer.com
Main thing is the sensitivity, you can adjust it on the fly by assign that to one or two of the buttons on the mouse itself. great for switching between windows mouse and gaming mouse movement. I noticed a massive difference using it when playing scout in TF2! I can actually jump around and hit ppl now!
Well worth it, plus it lights up in blue.
Very pleased with it.

ParticipantRazer Deathadder is the latest of the razer family, very sexual, comfortable and you can turn the gimmiky shit light off 🙂
plus very fast and on the fly sensitivity
Only ever use mine for gaming so cant commnet on using for windows, excpet it does left click, right click and scroll
I’ve got a Raptor M2 and a Logitech G5 in my presence, I upgraded to the Deathadder and never looked back, Infact I must get them on ebay soon

KeymasterWent for a deathadder in the end, as they were all much the same price, but finding a sensitivity I can actual handle is proving difficult, these things are crazy.
